That's pretty insane to me. I would still continue the process because the LT may see it differently. Unless you have a MJ or DUI issue, to me that should pass.

However, I'm just some idiot on the internet behind a keyboard, so what do I know.

I collect rent for a family business, but none of it is in my name directly, they all roll up to a trust. Not something I wanted to dig into as its currently structured to protect the stuff from estate and inheritance taxes. Not something I wanted to unravel on paper. Should I, is there a second chance?

I was advised he wasnt giving me a positive recommendation, but still sent me to livescan.

Mulling over what to do. Advise appreciated.
attempted assault is a bad experience and Crime ridden neighbrothhood not consider good cuase, they wont issue the license to all the people in that area or your bad experience, you need to prove them why you are greater targer than others, something like you carry expensive equipment (with receipt) or you always carry cash

if you collect rent in cash, you need to proved them you own the property with either grant deed or property tax statement, you also need to prove them bank statment that you deposite cash under your account name (not your wife or family)

IMO, if you dont care about the $130, just go ahead do the livescan, keep the proccess going, maybe the policy change in next few months , who know ?

I think every bit of that is right on target, especially the possibility of policy change, either before or after the coming SCOTUS decision.

SD and OC changed to follow CA law. CA law won't change just because Federal law changed. It will require a lawsuit and go through the entire process which could take years.

No, it would be a separate lawsuit challenging the current PC.

I applied 20 days before you and just recently got an interview date. Already did the livescan and gonna do the training this week and hopefully speed things up. Not really sure how they're processing the applications but seems like some applications get skipped/lost/forgotten.

Weird to think that by the time some of you get issued, I’ll have to think about renewal. Weird to think it’s already almost a year since I sent in my app.

I think the only way we get our rights back instantly is a ruling that specifies one form of carry or another and declares that form of carry is a constitutional right and a permit may not be required. Perhaps further specifying that a state may substitute the other form of carry if they choose.

I think we could carry the following day because the contrary law would be void and unenforceable without any change required in state law. We don't have to sue them, they just can't convict us. It would be interesting to see how long they might continue to try however. I don't think they would have qualified immunity in that case. That would end arrests right quick.

This is not out of the question. It is pretty much a natural conclusion of all the research and exposition in Heller, and a number of justices in the argument for Bruen expressed some skepticism over the bare idea that a permit can be required for a constitutional right.

For those of you who don't have a work related reason for GC, what have you been using as your GC for the application?
