Based on what I have seen in other counties, I don't think there is a problem if the account is in your name, you just have to prove you are the one handling the cash.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

I wonder if that is just one deputy making their own policy. That makes no logical sense at all. Your risk while carrying $x occurs at the time you have the cash in your possession. It can't possibly depend on whose account it goes into after it leaves your hand, which the criminal could not possibly know at the time of the attack. That would be like arguing that your risk of a car accident driving down a certain street at a certain time on your way to Denny's depends on what you are going to order when you get there.

Again, think of this process like you want to get as many licenses as you can for Team LA NRA. Forget about yourself. Sheriff Team A in Lakewood is giving permits to X amount of LA NRA for lax good cause. At the same time the Lancaster Sheriff's substation is giving out their portion of CCW for lax reasons. It's great if you're in that group but not everybody will make it. All the decision makers on who gets permits know that the decisions are somewhat " arbitrary. capricious and unfair". We know about this from being alive and having over 21 yrs of living. Ok 2200 LTC out there and 300 in the hopper. If you, all of you believe in this work for it. The least you can do is say (especially the last two examples of the Broker and the cash carrier) "Ok' I do want a denial in writing for legal reasons". Their job is to tell you you're a dummy and you are wasteing your cash. It's about carrying a real gun. Show some strength in numbers and get denied on paper for a reason. Twenty years ago people didn't succeed when sueing LEO, Now, sometimes they do, most cops will have some kind of immunity but times are changing. I don't know if any of you have seen people burning down Police Stations but it's happened numerous times in the past 5 yrs. Times have changed drastically. Do you believe in the Bill Of Rights? Hippies believe in smoking pot and even though it's been against the law hippies have told police to "fvck off" forever. Now nobody cares if they smoke! Mexicans have told INS, Cops, aand DEA that this is their country and that Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo means nothing and to "fvck off" Police don't like being embarrassed and they don't like getting sued. Be diigent and at least let them know that you're taking notes. Pay the fees and tell the world you were denied rights and that there will be a legal reckoning. Think of hippies and mexicans.

As a Republican I don't believe in burning down anything. I worked as an RN for many years and have seen much mayhem from violence. I am against lawnessness. All I'm trying to get across here is that you not waste effort and energy. It delights me that folks are finally getting CCW in LA even though I don't live here. I was born at Queen of Angels Hosp at Rampart in 1951 and grew up first 10 yrs in LA. I remember my dad was envolved in a Bar and check cashing business in Pico Rivera and had a Mod 10 under his suit. Permited, of course.

If you own a business the bank account would not be under anyone's name it would be under the business name. Sounds like the deputy just didn't like you.
ATF Form 4473: If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver, not a handgun or long gun.

Update for any June applications (see my timeline). I had my interview yesterday in Monterey Park. The deputy was cordial and the interview itself was quick and painless. The timeline he gave me was 4-5 months to get my CCW license. Submitted my Live Scan this morning. Hopefully more of the June applicants get their phone calls. Hang in there!

Can you go over the questions they asked?

Basically the questions covered everything in the application. They went over my GC statement and asked for a couple of clarifications. They asked for verification on all questions asked in Section 7. Then there were two dozen or so questions (not on the application) about criminal background, altercations with LE, drug use, gang affiliations, domestic violence, restraining orders, etc.

and on top of that, they reword some of the criminal background question to see if you slip. In my particular interview, the interviewer ask if "I was involved in any street racing". The question got me by surprised and off guard (a wtf moment) and reply nope.

Is there a written test in the CCW training class ?
