Dont wanna sound weird, But what is everyone wearing for their interview?

Just don't look like slob. I wore a nice button down shirt jeans and dress shoes and I got issued. Suit seems over kill but it's better than looking like a slob.

I wouldn't risk it with a new sheriff. They will say anything to get elected. We are such a small subset of the electorate that if he broke his CCW promise nobody would care. If the CCW ruling comes down favorably it won't matter. I can see Villanueva going shall issue because he would have cover. We are still living in an anti 2A county and to have a sheriff that's actually open minded is a breath of fresh air. He deserves support and a chance to open it up for everyone. I'm sure he has concerns for those he has issued thus far to see if anything bad happens. You will also have to see who endorses the other candidates.

Is my application withing normal limits for time?

I sent in my application late July, check was cashed late August. I haven't heard anything at all.

Does this seem within normal time limits or is it likely my application fell into a hole somewhere along the line? If it is outside of normal time limits, any suggestions on how I might inquire without seeming to be an overeager pest?

So far you are not really outside expectation based on those that have gone before, and considering they get further behind every month, that is especially true. On the other hand, we have seen at least a couple of examples where applications truly have gotten "misplaced" or something similar and would probably still be so if it were not for a call or email from the applicant, so don't just wait forever.

I've had a lot of experience asking different candidates their stances on guns and all things related and have learned to read between the lines when I look at their actions after getting elected. This guy sounds like a complete weasel that has been coached in how to fool pro-gun people with his answers. Just like a long line of other weasels before him.

Your timeline looks pretty good right about now. Sit tight. I think they are telling applicants not to contact them for at least 90 days after interview.

Please be aware there is a long delay between when the LiveScan clears online and when the LASD CCW unit receives the results, presumably by snail mail and then processes the results.

In my own journey the email for training came about two months after the firearms portion cleared online.

Yeah, not expecting the email anytime soon. Deputy told me it's about 3-4 months out so I'm just trying to be as patient as possible. One step closer, though.

How’s that even possible? I applied way before you and my application got lost twice. I literally just did the interview last week You just got lucky or your app was on top of the pile lol. You should be getting a call or email 90 days after doing the livescan. Don’t call or email them unless they specifically call or email you and ask you for additional documents and whatnot.

just sit tight, maybe other month or 2, i sumbitted on 5/3 and just got the email to process trainning about 2 weeks ago,
