If you are willing to travel to the hall of justice, I would mail it at the post office that serves the hall of justice, (900 Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 looks like the right one), with a return receipt or tracking number. It should only take a day or so from there under normal circumstances and you get proof of delivery. I think that's the best of both worlds.

Check cashed 05/12/2021
04/25/2021 Live scan and training done in April the same days I did mine.
11/02/2021 - Emailed confirmation that applications was received.
Call from CCW stating application was lost and to resend the application in PDF format and a hard copy at interview.
12/02/2021 - Interview
12/20/2021 - Proceed with training certification request.

She made no mention of anything to bring other than money order or cashiers check. I will bring my CDL and Passport as I am sure they will require identification.

Time line update!
Received the call for pick up this morning also!
If I include the initial application with LAPD this began in mid February. Once the announcement in April of LASD acceptance without local denial, my time line is the below.

Big thanks to Paladin for your initial and ongoing guidance as well as the rest of ya!

I’ll definitely stay on here and watch the progress, especially with the upcoming SCOTUS decision.

Good Cause color or summary?

Good cause is work related light red / yellow. He works late or random hours as a commercial driver. But having the live scan done early did speed things up a lot for him . They probably gave him a pass due to the application being lost.

Then a reply happened less than a week later. And an actually phone call 3 weeks since the email.

It could have been really easy for LASD to call off this week due to the holidays. Many of my colleagues, clients and suppliers are only half working to Wednesday.

Really ****ing happy to see LASD make calls and arrange for pick ups this week.
