Boys! I am now permitted to carry concealed!
There were 4 people waiting when I got there. It took 10-15 minutes to finish the whole thing.
Walked to a tiny room with the deputy, scanned my right thumbprint, took a picture, gave her the money order, got the approval letter and ID card and left.
The deputy had a stack of envelopes/approval letters on the desk. Approval letter is dated April 19, 2021 (day I received the phone call for pickup)

Often if it's work related or better yet business owner type, you could deduct pretty much all of the expenses, even buying the firearm itself

Word on the street is that its about a 6-8 month wait from sending your application in and them receiving it.

That may have been true for early 2021 applicants, I'd say it's closer to a year for anyone who has applied after July or August even more if you applied during 2022. This could change if the ccw unit gets more staffing etc.

I'd be surprised if LA would issue to anyone who consider a call from the CCW unit to be a junk call.
