I was picking up my Sig 365 (Early Birthday Present from my Dad) this past Tuesday at the gun shop I use for out of state transactions. A few guys in there thought CCW's in LA County were a joke and not a reality. Both said they would apply, told them it would be a while due to the backlog, but the wait will be worth it if you are issued one.

Wouldn't want to actually shoot the guns. it wears them out....an expert once told me that.

Alex Villanueva just confirmed that he will not be able to expand on the staffing of CCW due to the budget. Looks like we're all in for a serious long haul.

1341 issued, 208 in the hopper, 5608 applications.

They did not issue last week due to equipment malfunction.

That sucks….

Follow up questions: what can LA residents do to increase funding for the CCW Unit? Who to call? Who to vote for/against at next election? The BoS?

While im not sure of the other candidates opinions about their CCW policy(and im sure theres other factors that can affect your vote) but politicians like to talk a good game and do no action,

Yet Villanueva has actually done the CCW increase he talked about.
It may be slow as hell, but it is happening.

Just my 2 cents so LA county doesnt become unobtainable again.
