My pistols were DROS'ed at 2AZone way back in the day when there was single shot exemption. Lesson to everyone else here, keep your DROS paperwork.

I'm probably going to pick up a Shield at Turners before my interview on Friday and squeeze that into my application. According to the suggestions here, it seems the pistols are finalized just before training so I have still have a window.

Probably the easiest thing to do.

Why would you want them to DROS those pistols as single shot?

I assume they're not in SS configuration anymore.

          Isn't a shield on roster?

Looks like there really is no reason to do your live scan early. It seems like you need to wait a minimum of a month anyway between interview and training email. Might be a good idea to just wait and follow the process.

Villanueva just said the CCW process is 60 days start to finish. Guessing that means from interview to pickup?

Doesn't sound like he's letting off on CCW. I like this Sheriff!

At this point, it's probably more like 60 days from when your entire interview/background/training process is complete and your packet is finalized for approval/denial.

Lol I don't think anyone would consider "finish" to be the interview, considering there is still so much to go after that. Hell, most of the process and costs are after the interview.

I think Villanueva might have not been kept updated on how long things are taking. He needs to at least double the amount of deputies on this to prevent a huge year-long wait from forming.

As of today, I'm at about 90 days since they must have received by application in the mail.

Ah. Well that's cheating lol. Start should be when you submit your app, not when they get around to interviewing you about it. Still, if it's 60 days from interview, I can make my peace with that if true. I'd be just one month out hah.
