For those of you that got an email to proceed with training, how many weeks did it take from interview to training?

I did my interview 6/23. Livescan check online shows completed 6/24.

I did my interview a week before you on the 16th, no call yet.

However, note that I went ahead and did my training anyway on the 26th, I decided to risk it. I sent my interviewing deputy a copy of the certificates and CC'd the CCW unit too, though I got no response from either of them. So now it's not clear whether they will still email me to do the training (and I'll just reply with the certificates again), or if they see the certificates are there already and just move me straight to the final approval pile without notifying me until it is pickup (or denial letter) time.

I guess it will depend on how much they actually communicate or keep good records.

I didn't know smoking weed made you a prohibited possessor. (I've neve smoke so I neve cared to look at the laws)

Hey Lockdown, if you are a user and an individual who is addicted then yes, you are prohibited. Same question is on the form when you are purchasing a firearm. Just as someone who enjoys a beer a two from time to from and an alcoholic who drinks almost every single day and gets ****faced.

I have no idea how they distinguish between the two but if you are a common user which in my view is someone who either uses everyday or several times a week. Also, someone who is dependent on the substance and has withdrawals from not using. That's what makes sense.

"Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized
for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside."

Nothing on my end. I wanted to check though, has anyone received a call for interview from a Huntington Beach area code? I have a missed call from 11:00 AM today. There’s a 1 minute 1 second voicemail that they left, but the audio is indiscernible and when I call back it rings for a while then either goes to a busy signal or a robot voice says “connecting you *something something*” then also goes to a busy signal.

Take it to the DM's. It's beginning to just flood this thread and it is becoming unconstructive. I know that nobody is being heated, and that you are all adults, but until you guys have a result, this is just going back and forth and its really unnecessary.
