What additional docs were they requesting?

My work badge doesn't have a pic or anything on it so they wanted confirmation I work with the company. Also, my company doesn't have a formal review so they wanted to confirm I was in good standing so I had to get a letter from my boss.

I got a letter from HR describing my work, how long i was there and the information i had or safety concerns. This is all that was requested of me. My work badge has my face however on it. I also supplied many paystubs.

My boss did that for me. I gave him my pay stubs during the interview he just needed more since our badges are just blank and I didn't have an employee performance review I could hand to him since our HR system is crap.

Is there anyone else who has not received a call for an interview for April 1st and 2nd week? My brother has not received the call even with yellow and light red GC.

For those who submitted, I'm debating adding all the fluff pages that is generic in boilerplate language or only the ones that involve fill in fields/signatures. Curious if there is a consensus on this yet...

I'm a big believer in making their job as easy as possible. They probably have an item on their to do list which says "scan application". If you did not send all the pages send them a complete version not just the new pages, so they don't have to mess with mixing the new pages and old pages, along with an explanation that you have not changed anything, you are just providing them with a complete copy for convenience.

You delivered it to Lost Hills, which has nothing to do with CCW Unit.

It probably took 1-2 weeks to get to downtown. Which is why you haven't been assigned to an investigator yet and people as late as 4/19 have been assigned.

With over 3,000 applications in the queue, I think the requirement to respond in 90 days is not achievable.


There are 4 deputies conducting interviews. If each deputy interviews 20 people a week, that's 80 people a week. With 3,000 applicants waiting, that's 37 weeks or 259 days or about 9 months between submittal to interview.

If my maths checks out. No, they don't "have" to respond to you within 90 days, and the reality of them responding to all applicants in 90 days is as real as Santa Clause.

Cal Penal Code Section 26205.
The licensing authority shall give written notice to the applicant indicating if the license under this article is approved or denied. The licensing authority shall give this notice within 90 days of the initial application for a new license or a license renewal, or . If the license is denied, the notice shall state which requirement was not satisfied.

So in plain English, if you've submitted Livescan and applied to the Department, the Dept must give written notice within 90 days of the application or within 30 days of receipt of the DOJ background check, whichever is later.

The code doesn't have an exemption for a department that is busy or understaffed.
