Yea, my process was when the floodgates opened. I was told I would be processed, along with others who applied but did not have denials from LAPD at the same time.

I see no May filers here. Where are they? No one turned in the application in May? Most of the active members are April filers. Only me and @Usual_Suspect sent the application in June. I'm afraid I won't receive the interview call till spring 2022.

Do you have his direct email? My deputy was cool and gave me his card and told me to email additional docs directly to his personal box when I interviewed.

+1 on the restraining order. This is the "proof" you need to verify that the threat is real without requiring any additional time from the overworked CCW unit to verify the component pieces of data. The restraining order converts al that data to a judicially recognized "fact" that requires no further evaluation.

I would communicate the current status to the CCW unit, the fact that you are obtaining a restraining order, and request instructions on how and where to submit the order as soon as it is obtained. I don't know if it will speed things up, but I bet it will improve your approval chances to close to dead certain.

You should get the restraining order first but I am not sure that will make your application go any faster. Also, there is this exemption for concealed carry if you have a restraining order.

What makes you think there's an issue?
I submitted the app on March 31st and got the request to get Firearms Training this past Monday so four and a half months.

thanks but speeding up my app was not really on my mind.. Maybe 5%.. I know that the restraining order wouldn't do anything to stop him from acting on whatever he may want to act on.. It would be primarily an insurance for me incase god forbid I had to defend myself or family.. The only reason I haven't gotten a knock on my door from him is because I told him I moved to vegas.. He has doubted that a few times but looks like ultimately he believes it... I hope.. I don't ever want to hurt him or anyone else as a matter of fact but the way he's acting, makes me think I should get some insurance in document form..

I submitted May 23, but I figure they're still on the end of April. Not really expecting a call until next month, maybe.

I think it's more of a personnel shortage. It would be difficult to justify moving 20 Deputies to process CCW's when you are complaining the cuts made have tied your hands and you can't keep the citizens safe anymore.
