I applied pre-Bruen in March. I got my call for interview in March.

I was honestly losing my patience too because it seemed like nine months was the average. Supposedly, they're slowing down applications to take care of renewals. Patience is the key.

Yeah, to be honest I'm not entirely sure how that worked in your case. Most applicants were called for interview at an average of nine months. Yours was five.

Are there different deputies assigned to each case? The process seems to have no consistency at all with some people getting immediate to close to immediate responses when they reply to requests and others getting no communication at all even after multiple emails for receipt confirmation.

I submitted my training docs exactly 2 minutes after receiving the PTT email on 5/6. Got a call today from 'Unknown' number and thought it was my pickup call, which was very wishful thinking.

It was the Sheriff however, and they let me know they received my training docs and it was being sent up for final signature which is taking 3 weeks currently. She said once it came back from "upstairs" I would get a call scheduling pickup which would be about 2 weeks after that.

So it looks like they are running 5 weeks from training received to call for pick up, which of course is based on what I was told today, and may not apply to those before/after today.

Interesting, I've never heard of someone getting a call to say they received the training docs, only email.

Best I can tell, you're the exception. I don't see anyone else here with a timeline anywhere near as short as yours (assuming similar application submission dates of course).

That ~9mon avg that's been talked about has a WIDE standard deviation. Your timeline brings the avg down while mine and idunnosowhat bring the avg up. But comparing between these experiences it's like a 6mon difference.

I think this just speaks to the inability to predict timing. At this point I think people should expect a year because we've seen it can take that long. Then if you happen to get called in 6-9mon instead you'll be stoked. But if you're expecting 6-9mon I'd say you should be ready for disappointment.

Well, I sent my training docs 4/8 and again on 4/25 with no acknowledgement. I sent a request to confirm receipt on 5/3, which was acknowledged 5/5.

No it wasn't. I applied in Jan 22, and interviewed in Santa Clarita 10/07/22. The Deputy told me that my paperwork was very squared away, and her Sgt. will sign off on my paperwork today, and send it up the line. I should get my PTT email in a few weeks, and have my CCW by the end of Dec 22. Hahaha that was a joke. I waited 123 days for a PTT email, and 70 days after that for a pick-up call. When I went to pick-up my permit. I asked the Deputy a question, and she said "I don't know. I don't have your paperwork here". Another inside house mouse, bad attitude (just my thoughts) Maybe she was nicer to others who had pick-up prior to me. Good luck those that are still waiting.

Got a call for pickup of my renewal CCW and was in a meeting. They left a message w/ no call back number. Going to have to wait for their next scheduled pickups I guess.

Just an idea on timeline:
Expires 5/27
Sent my renewal app 1st week of March
Phone interview 3.5 weeks after
PTT email 1st week of May.
Completed training and sent cert 5/8
Called for pickup 5/15 (and wasn?t able to pick up the call!)
