Funny scientific vs emotionaql arguements.
I guess we ARE in the LEO section.
Maybe they also realized Half DEA and other orginizations would lose alot of jobs.
70% of the billions spent on the "war on drugs" are allocated to fighting marijuana.
Im still waiting to hear from someone who actually know about a death/car accident envolving MJ.
I have smoked and driven many times and if anything it stops me from my usual 90mph wreckless style i call driving. 60 in the slow lane, damn thats dangerous.SA TRP Half rail, Glock 21SF, Spikes St-15, Ruger Alaskan .44, Saiga 7.62, GSSF Member

with anything......you can use it or abuse it(or not use it at all). certainly there will be those that abuse it. however everything gets abused. EVERYTHING! based on the logic that if its going to be abused we should just ban it, is just plain ridiculous. our country is overweight because people are lazy, complacent and often times they abuse food intake. should we ban food? should we ban alcohol? should we ban driving? should we ban guns? should we ban [insert anything that gets abused in here]?

yeah but they were good times amiright? Not true. I have anywhere from 2-8 beers a year... Most of the time, it's a Sam Adams, and it's because I like the taste of it with a nice rib eye. I drink alcohol for taste... Not for a head change. Only twice in my life, have I consumed alcohol for the purpose of getting drunk and making an *** of myself.

Take it for whats its worth. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.Comment

[QUOTE=the big ravioli;5911737][QUOTE=Lrchops;5905540]Can't compare booze to pot. Not everyone drinks booze to get drunk. Everyone who smokes pot smokes it to get high!
That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard... Who just goes out to drink because it tastes good or it's just hot outside??
No.. You Drink To Get DRUNK or change the direction of your day.... I do and if you say you don't your more than likely a liar also!
So what if you smoke pot.. Who cares??
Back in the early days of real AMERICA you could grow it, trade it, sell it & smoke it. Even our big named for fathers used to grow & smoked
Now it's illegal?? I say, tax the s**t out of it and make it legal. Maybe then we might be able to pull California out of s**t bag of $ problems we have..
PLease refer to my privious post... I must be a liar."Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest."~M.Twain~Comment

Of course its a persons choice to smoke weed... But weed can contribute to a persons decisions, good or bad... Mostly bad."Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest."~M.Twain~Comment

Global warming had "scientific" evidence too right?Funny scientific vs emotionaql arguements.

I will take personal experience over a "scientific" study any day. BTW, another friend in HS crashed his car SEVRAL times because he was high.

I like to have a glass of wine once and a while at dinner. Or I like to have a beer or two on occassion. I don't drink to get drunk.
But if you take one hit of marijuana, expecially these days with the super high THC content, you are smoking to get high! Always and no way around that!!
Can't compare alcohol to weed! Two totally different birds!!!
I do agree that alcohol is a very dangerous toxic substance that causes too many problems! Alcohol abuse is much worse than weed abuse. Abuse with any substance is not a good thing.
so do you think Mehtamphetamine, Heroin, Oxycontin, Steroids, should be legal? Because from what you guys say, anyone should be able to do anything they want to thier own body??!!! Even at the expense of the tax payer and crime rate?
I don't think that the ZERO liability voter who lives an entitled lifestyle should have ANY input on these matters!!Comment

Thats the problem you dont think, and im the pothead, lol.I like to have a glass of wine once and a while at dinner. Or I like to have a beer or two on occassion. I don't drink to get drunk.
me too i take one hit just to taste it not to get high, lol. yea right. But if you take one hit of marijuana, expecially these days with the super high THC content, you are smoking to get high! Always and no way around that!!
Haha i wish.

They are legal. Meth is in rx drugs, as are the rest of your list. Big pharma is making big bucks on it. Legally!!!

It is useless to debate with some people. Meth, Heroin, Oxy, Roids, do have use int the medical world, but they are a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCEs.
It is not legal to cook meth, sell meth, use meth, transport meth and the same for the others on the list.
I think a lot. I think about my first hand experience dealing with the destroyed lives from these drugs. You are actually the one that has no experience. When is the last time you went into a meth lab and removed a child who had been abused and exposed to hazardous chemicals? When is the last time you had to condemn a property where meth was being cooked? When have you had to walk into a house where the floor was covered with garbage, crap, piss, and dead animals to remove kids who were victims of abuse from a whore mother addicted to crack? And when was the last time you had to fight a person who was so high on meth they had the strength of a gorilla and had beaten the crap out of thier 12 year old daughter? All because of meth?
Have you ever had your house burglarized by an Oxy freak? What? No? Well there are thousands of people who have lost property with sentimental value due to a drug addicted criminal stealing from them. I went to a house that was burglarized and the 91 year old man who lived there lost his WWII military medals, his deceased wifes jewelry, his prescription heart medication, and his coin collection. He was devistated.
Drugs = Crime. There is no deabte on the matter. Legalizing Meth, coke, oxy, roids, opiates, will not minimize the problem. Drug addicts steal from thier own children and families.
Do you know how many tweakers are living at home with thier elderly parents at the age of 35 years old. They don't work, they only steal!!??
You have no idea because you have no experience dealing with such things.
Like I said, ZERO liability voters, non voters, entitlement class people, and the recipient class of people have absolutely no say or input on anything realted to these or other issues concerning public policy!Comment

The progressive left wing socialist attitude of people is the overall problem that is destroying our California!
If you have ever lived in a state, town, city, or county where the people are conservative and armed, you will notice the crime rates are LOW, the budgets are steady, and the people are much more kind! But not in the ZERO liability areas with heavy government restrictions!!!Comment

Sorry but that logic is still flawed because now you are bringing tolerance into the issue.I like to have a glass of wine once and a while at dinner. Or I like to have a beer or two on occassion. I don't drink to get drunk.
But if you take one hit of marijuana, expecially these days with the super high THC content, you are smoking to get high! Always and no way around that!!

You say you can have a beer or two at dinner and not be drunk. I know "light weights" who DO in fact get real silly/buzzed..aka drunk..off of a measly two Heinekens.
You take one hit and get stoned and are then stuck to the couch. That's YOU in particular. That is not the case with everyone else.
Easy with the broad generalizations.
Fermented/ingested plant material vs burned/inhaled plant material....hmm
The fermented/ingested version is a-ok? Based on? Written law? Yea, but we all know that written law has not always been "correct" from a common sense aspect. (slavery, stupid gun laws, the ability to be trusted to kill for your country at a certain age, but not old enough to be trusted to buy alcohol at that same exact age, etc.)
As gun owners we love to show and prove how gun grabbers are not seeing the common sense picture of the issue, but when it comes to something like marijuana, we get extremely one sided and closed minded.
If marijuana is illegal, alcohol should be just as well. You can handle yourself and remain responsible with alcohol? Numerous marijuana users can as well, so what is your point? You can show me a lazy unproductive stoner. I can show you a lazy unproductive alcoholic. At what point is a grown arse person responsible for themselves?Last edited by JaeOne3345; 03-01-2011, 12:30 PM.Comment
