Your right... But that choice should be stripped the second it might effect someone else... Such as operating a motor vehicle, or if you use it around kids/ are around kids when high. I feel the same with alcohol, or any other drug."Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest."~M.Twain~Comment

Believe as you wish. I believe differently.
Last year a 20 Y/O in the city in which I live who had a MJ medical card for a bogus "back injury" bought his weed at a LA dispensary. He brought it back to his home and was in the process of selling it when he was shot by one of his routine customers and friends who wanted to rip him off.
Marijuana the harmless drug.
Poke'm with a stick!

Ya, look how good no gun zones do right
I agree that someones right to do something stops when it starts effecting others, I totally agree..
In terms of stripping someones right of something, do you think we should strip a drunk drivers right to drink alcohol? Or a domestic abuser?
How many domestic violence calls do you/your colleagues go on? How many of them involve alcohol? (this isn't about alcohol, but a point about laws. Using this as an example)
If you stripped those offenders of the right to stop drinking, do you think they will stop drinking because you said so, and do you think you will stop showing up at their door? No, you will show up at their door to arrest them for domestic violence PLUS drinking, since its illegal for them to.
Making more and more laws does 'nothing'.. We need to address the problem: people.
The problem is people, and it starts at home, with the family.
I get the law would be protocol, but we all know damn well it does nothing but make him pay more money or serve more time. It does nothing to help solve the problem.Last edited by Frozenguy; 03-01-2011, 7:51 PM.Comment

I dont buy it. Regardless if I buy it or not, even if that happened, it was EXTREMELY rare.Believe as you wish. I believe differently.

And with that said, so what. People get shot over guns, gold/silver, girlfriends, poker games, EATING POPCORN IN A THEATER. Want to start going off on that?
Point is, we dont need to focus on what someone shot someone else over, but we must focus on WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS PERSON IN THE HEAD..
The main reason I dont buy it is because most pot is so overpriced at clubs, one couldn't sell it on the street. But like I said, regardlessLast edited by Frozenguy; 03-01-2011, 8:05 PM.Comment

you example is still related to illegal MJ. Just because that dealer's source was through a dispensory doesn't mean that this is a MMJ case.Believe as you wish. I believe differently.

Again, I point to the fully-legal extreme where you can buy Marlboro Greens at your local 7-11 for the same price as a pack of cigs. How much crime do you think is involved for your average tobacco or alcohol user to raise the funds to buy legal-market priced drugs. Whereas you seem to indicate that a large percentage of crime is committed in order to raise the funds to buy black-market priced drugs. If the cost of MJ dropped significantly due to its move to the legal-market, can't you see that the need for $$$ crimes to raise funds to buy it would probably drop?Jack

If it was legal and there was no street market for it, would that have happened still?Believe as you wish. I believe differently.

The selling/transportation issue is different than the "it makes you stupid" issue.
When people say Marijuana is no more of a danger than alcohol, they are speaking about the physical effects of it on your body. Don't play dumb. You know that. They aren't talking about the effects of illegal sales/deals.
Are you gonna sit here and tell me there were no issues with prohibition, gangs/mafias, and crime during the 1920's when alcohol was illegal and circulating illegally on the black market? No illegal alcohol transactions went sour? You are in absolute denial with the truth if so.
This isn't about beliefs. It's about facts.Last edited by JaeOne3345; 03-01-2011, 7:59 PM.Comment

Yes it does. His only reason for having the MM card was so he could "legally" buy dope. Then sell it to his friends and their underage buddies.you example is still related to illegal MJ. Just because that dealer's source was through a dispensory doesn't mean that this is a MMJ case.
