Was he serious about the elderly lady?

If you could only choose one AR-10 or AR-15 which one? I already have an AK-74.

Was listening to a guy in my local LGS yesterday, put money down for 10 lowers. Seems like a waste to me.

AK-74 is better than both lol. But I'd say get the AR-15 over the AR-10. Just because.

I had a certain something that was about $80 when I sold it, now it is going for well over 4 times its price. The lesson is, when things die down, buy a ton of stuff and wait for a run on all the goodies. Then profit!

People who paid at today's high prices will be reluctant to sell their firearms at more "normal" prices, so that will impact supply. I imagine retail and resale prices both will see a permanent bump even if the ban scare goes away, though nothing like the actual panic we're in right now.

Probably the winners in all this will be the quality manufacturers who stand behind their brand; the more people must pay, the more careful they'll be in what they buy. Of course, the more marginal brands will just respond by slashing prices....so whelp....

Given whats going on these days I disagree
Guns are always an investment but, just like precious metals, If you buy or sell at the wrong time, you are screwed. Bottom line is a gun is a solid object that you can have and hold.
Money such as the US dollar is simply paper with shrinking value these days.
So, even the poor knothead who spent $500 on a stripped lower at least has a stripped lower. Next week that $500 dollars may only buy him $475 worth of food or stripped lowers may be going for $600.

The buyers are just paying the price for coming to the game late

Do you think I could get $5,000 for my Spike's Tactical "Concussion" pistol with say, 6 10/30 Pmags and an eotech???

All the people trying to take advantage of this situation and selling their 30 rd rebuilds for $50 are going to look like real a**holes in a few months when this blows over.
Its times like this when the gun community needs to come together and work to keep our 2a rights from being infringed upon rather than trying to price gouge other calgunners.
Makes me sad and kind of disgusted.
