    Panic Buying Gone Crazy

So I had some free time at lunch and decided to see the circus at the LGS. I walk in and it is packed. I stroll over to the black rifle section (this is at Wild Bill's in Elk Grove and the wall with black rifles is huge) and I stand there looking at guns and chatting with the other customers about how crazy it is. So on the counter are 6 AR type rifles all in FDE finish. There were 3 LWRC's, a couple of Sig 516's and something else.

So the guy picks up one then puts it down and picks up another one like he's decding on which one to get. He asks the sales guy "13?". Sales guy says yes. Buyer looks at them again and says "I'LL TAKE THEM"!!! He bought all six and the 13 he mentioned was $13,000!!!

After sales guy drops him off with the cashier, he says this guy came in yesterday and bought 5 rifles. So in two days he spent about $25,000. Wow!

As I left they had 1 LWRC, a DD, bunch of PTR's, M1A'a, Colt LE6920 or is it 6940, in FDE and a bunch of others including Sigs and about 10 AK's.

Plus they still had CMMG and S&W stripped lowers.

For those of you familiar with Wild Bill's, the wall was full when I got there and was about half empty when I left.

Oh and I was checking out a SCAR 17S in FDE which has been sitting on the shelf for at least 2 months. It sold right as I was leaving. They didn't mark up the price on any of their guns. Same price as what I saw 3 months ago.

I was just at Cordova Shooting Center and they had several AR15s in stock, even a few cheap ones like the $700 DPMS or DTI and an S&W M&P ORC for $900

Yeah I think people are not familiar with Cordova and think they probably don't sell guns. I was there on Monday breaking in my new Larue and was surprised at what they had in stock.

            that's crazy.

turner's is a joke. 3 people deep all along the long-*** gun counter and you'd better make sure you pull a number ticket or you'll be assed out. 2 hours for a DROS and i was told i was one of the fast ones. and this was on a weekday before lunch.

Not finding any uppers under $1k anywhere in the last 2 days, I remembered Windham. Bought an SRC because of the price and was able to find my upper 16" heavy with M4 ramps. All I could find at BCM was a stripped M4 upper so I got that too. I work with an FFL and just gave him the cash and lunch, of course! Should have the M4 build done in a couple weeks...the 22" may take longer

I just came home from Grant's Guns. Had to pick up some targets and cleaning stuff...anyways, people were buying everything! Two girls came up to the gun seller and asked how to get gun license and what not, after gun seller explained everything, they both started the application process. For the past 10 years in California, I have never seen Grant's Gun store this busy and parking lot so full.

There was a guy that had 5 pmags for $515. Yes over $100 for a pmag. And these were bids with no reserve. I'm pretty sure they sold.
