dont ever buy a gun from turner's. they are the absolute worse. every other shop will at least do FFL transfer (if you ask) to another store that does release on undetermined that way you know you will get your gun no matter what, as long as you're not denied. except turner's since they dont do any FFL transfers at all.

buying from turner's is a great way to waste your time and money.

Nearing the 30 day mark now and the DROS should fall into Undetermined status. Just to confirm :

Is it 30 days from the day of the DROS, or 30 days from the start of the "Delayed" status?

30 24hr periods from the initiation of the DROS.

You could step up and do that.
Everyone loves to say that "we" should do something but rarely does the "we" include the one making the statement.

Here is a perfect example of a guy that stepped up and did something helpful:

You could be just like that guy by starting a thread and keeping it updated as people post their findings.

We need to compile a list of FFLs that don't release on undetermined it would be useful to all members.

Because such a thread is not beneficial to the forum advertiser FFLs who will be included on the list.

A thread that WOULD potentially survive the moderators would be a list of FFL's that DO release on undetermined.
Then people could just go to those FFL's and they could make an assumption that the ones NOT listed on the thread may or may not release on undetermined since those "unknown" FFL's have not been added to the list.

NOT AT ALL.

Not naming an FFL is a bigly difference to naming them specifically.

One can assume, or conject, that someone not on the "Not a Turd" list, is a turd.

Yet if per chance, someone simply hasn't YET, added them to the "Not a Turd" list.

But a simple phone call resolves that. Just call and ask "ARE YOU A TURD"?

(f) (1) (A) The department shall immediately notify the dealer to DELAY the transfer of the firearm to the purchaser if the records of the department, or the records available to the department in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, indicate one of the following:
IMMEDIATELY transfer the firearm to the purchaser.

DOJ can legally DELAY a purchase for 3 reasons only. I am neither purchaser i. ii. or iii.

It's your baby so IMHO the sheet should remain under your control. Or it will digress into a circle jerk.

Designations for good guys by County, preferable Even though it will be more hassle for you. Nobody in SDCo is going to Humbolt to buy a gun. But would likely be willing to travel within neighboring counties. Really advantageous for the small closely clustered counties in the SF Bay area.

Even alphabetical would be mixmaster of locations.

I intend to sort it alphabetically by FFL name. I will do my best to have complete info, and I'm pretty good with a spreadsheet so I suspect I may be able to add a tab which automatically re-sorts/groups by County.

Hopefully lots of people chime in with their confirmations of FFLs.

That would be kewl. Example of what I meant with county over just alphabetical.

UGimports is in Alameda county. But folks would have to scan every listed FFL address. Between A to U in order to find him.

Or maybe a zip code interface like finding store locations. Hell I can barely operate a laptop to read/send Email, and participate in forums.

I applaud your effort to keep others in the 2A community from getting screwed.

So I just got back from Bass Pro I got a refund less the DROS fees the guys there told me this is happing more often than before. He told me to call the DOJ which I did and the DOJ agent told me I should wait until I receive a letter from the DOJ, or Re DROS and or get a Live scan which they don't require.

I can't remember if there is an area to enter on the form you fill out electronically when entering my information.

I was told by my FFL that the problem isn't with DOJ. The company that runs the DROS system is operated by a company in AZ. Apparently they had half their workforce up and quit on them some months ago. They hired a bunch of new people but they aren't fully up and running so if there is ANYTHING at all questionable on an application, they are pushing it aside for further review and that is taking time.

Seemingly, they are getting there are working through the backlog and this is supposed to be happening less frequently.

All of this was told to me 3rd hand by my FFL.

Thank you for the information, but in the end, that's a very lame excuse. I don't care what their issues are. CA DOJ has a job, they need to do it.
