How is it fudd? Dros is only valid for 30 days. If the store doesnt release and you still want that gun you have to dros again.

      Show me where im wrong.

My sister tried to buy her first firearm at Bass Pro Shop at the beginning of June in Rancho Cucamonga and she tried to pick it up after the 10th day and they did not release it to her because the Bass Pro Shop still had not heard back from the back ground check , well she just got a letter from DOJ asking her to go and get a live scan in order to release her handgun to her .
Old problems are like dry poop, if you let the dry poop sit it doesn't smell but the minute you decide to stir the poop with a stick, the smell comes back. Moral of the story, Don't bring up old problems!

I never had a problem with them last year I purchased my Golden boy there, and around 3 years ago I picked up my Browning 12 gauge there.

13 years of my business down the drain. BRECO FIREARMS is dead to me.

Think twice before giving your business to BRECO FIREARMS in Clovis.

Breco has done the same thing to me. Day 61...still on a delay status with no updates to provide and the wont refund my money. They told me the DOJ can extend the delay status indefinitely.
Can anyone confirm this nonsense? Going to go Monday to talk to the owner. I have bought all my guns from Breco, but will never walk in that shop again.

DOJ-delayed status, of a DROS, is 30 days STATUATORY MAXIMUM.

At which time [240-hrs]. It automatically becomes "UNDETERMINED".

At which time the FFL is LEGALLY required to "then immediately transfer" your firearm to you.

All included in Ca PC-28220 [4]

Breco is according to your statements A LYING SACK OF CRAP. Blaming CA-DOJ for their THIEVERY.

                SUE THE BASTARD!

I'm about 5 miles from BPS. It was a crazy house when it first opened.

They have a nice fly fishing shop and use to have an ok ammo supply. I could never bring myself to buy a gun from them. It always seemed to me like the counter guys thought they were doing me a favor showing me guns. It just never set well with me.

It's like Turners use to be in the 80s.

I couldn't tell you the last time I was there. There's just nothing there for me.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Does anyone know if there can be an "undetermined" on a ppt where the dros-ing dealer can refuse to transfer a firearm? I am not prohibited from purchasing a firearm PERIOD!!!! I have purchased many firearms thru the years. I am a ccw holder. I have gone thru at least 12 federal and state background checks. I have submitted my fingerprints to the Department of Justice. I have done the live scan. I haven't even had a parking ticket in over 35 years. My credit score is 850. But recently I purchased a firearm from a dealer and I am currently delayed going on day 22. I have a feeling it has nothing to do with my background but more to do with just another way California regulates firearms purchases knowing the likelihood of dealers not selling on "undetermined." My selling dealer has told me their store policy is to not sell on an undetermined. I would be getting a refund minus the dros fees. I think I should get a full refund since legally they can sell me the firearm. BTW my selling dealer is Turners. I don't mind discussing my full experience details since they are 100% factual. And if this is the store policy then they should own it. I wish someone in my position would have informed me.

                      Spend more time here...

Lots of stories on CG about Turner's refusing to transfer after a DROS goes undetermined. Yes, that is their store policy (along with many other FFL's) which Pacrat will soon (if he hasn't already) will tell you is illegal but seems to be pretty routine. Their Terms of Service Turner's #2 says they refund rather than deliver.

You get stuck paying for another DROS and hoping that goes through or trying to work with the seller to go to another FFL who will release on undetermined. The recent (last couple of months) round of delays seems pretty random. Lots of folks like you who haven't ever had an issue, have a CCW, etc. are getting delayed. Sucks, but you are not alone.

If I decide to go PPT and dros can they not release on an undetermined since by that time the transaction has been competed and the seller has already gotten paid?

They also said they have 30 days from the date that they informed me. Not from the date of my dros. DOJ website says 30 days from the date of the transaction.

                            Can vs Will

They can release on undetermined. But Turner's won't under their policy.

See this earlier post from this same thread "may language"

They lied about having discretion to NOT DELIVER on an Undetermined status.

They lied again when they intentionally misrepresented what the LAW ACTUALLY SAYS. As to DATE.

That date is clearly shown at the top of your DROS copy. Right down to the MINUTE.

Which is 240 hours from the time they entered your DROS into the DES [Dros Entry System] computer.

There is a valid reason that many CalGunners call them "TURDners".

                                Hi all,

Nearing the 30 day mark now and the DROS should fall into Undetermined status. Just to confirm :

Is it 30 days from the day of the DROS, or 30 days from the start of the "Delayed" status?

Do I need to DROS the firearm again? Or is that just a horrible FFL's idea of financial torture? (i.e. robbing another $40)

Looking forward to pick up soon.

I should note that during this wait, I picked up two receivers. Makes no sense I could build two rifles but a tiny little handgun is delayed lol.
