    Won't shop there again

How can anyone argue that the guns are not his. Proof is the fact that they are charging a 30% cancellation fee which most retailers would classify as a restocking fee. Putting layaway at the top of the form does not change the fact that as paid in full this was a final sale, thus the restocking fee.

My guess is this would take about 30 seconds in small claims court. The receipt would be presented to the judge, the judge would ask the Turners rep if the receipt was theirs, they would have to say it was and the hammer would fall for a decision for the plaintiff. I am also guessing the judge would scold Turners for wasting the courts time with additional shaming for not honoring their own contract.

reason why I say have the police there is because if it was me I would storm into the back manager office and get my weapons out
that way police can be there to stop the store workers from getting into any type of trouble

They won't do that. If anything you'll get arrested for trespassing.

120 posts on here and now you post on the turners thread. Why didn't you do that in first place instead of on this forum where you got 112 different responses. Send registered letter to Bill Ortiz and Turners hq and if no response file small claims action. Your recept better say paid in full.

It's a wonder I don't go into that dump even to buy CLP?? This exemplifies the piss poor business etiquette of that entire corporation. All they had to do was take care of you to begin with and this thread (and all it's bad press) never happens. Instead, they take the low road (over a handful of dollars, I might add) and continue to lose innumerable customers because they simply DON'T CARE.

Take the refund including DROS, never look back.

                Really forward-looking move, Turners.

You guys talking about police and court action and other drama, holy cow you must have a lot of spare time.

This saga is over. Take your money and never set foot in Turners again.

With that mentality, we'd still be paying taxes to the red coats.

Why not have the police go to turners and ask for the firearms , run the serial number on them and who ever comes back as the registered owner walks away with the guns. Is that too simple of thinking or too logical?
Old problems are like dry poop, if you let the dry poop sit it doesn't smell but the minute you decide to stir the poop with a stick, the smell comes back. Moral of the story, Don't bring up old problems!

go to small claims court. the judge will rule in your favor in about 5 seconds after reviewing the receipt. then take the judge's ruling to the store and tell them to hand over your guns. if they refuse, i am sure the police department will be able to assist at that point.

you aren't ever going to shop there again (at least i wouldn't if i was you), so you have nothing to lose. take them to court!

the serial numbers will come up unregistered in AFS. they are not registered to the buyer until the DROS pickup is completed.

^^^As said before, this is a civil matter, the police do not get involved.

The OP can file small claims and he will probably win. The Judgment will be for money, not guns. 30 days after he gets his Judgment (common in CA), he can get a 'Writ of Execution' from the court (if still unpaid) and he can hire the court Sheriff to go into Turners and take his money from the cash register. This is called a 'Till Tap'. If the registers do not have enough cash in them, he can pay extra for a 'Keeper'. This is where the Sheriff stands in the store and actually take the cash from the customers. All of these additional costs get added to the original Judgment.

If the OP chooses to simply call the local PD and ask for help, they will decline.

OK, tough guy. Please let us know if you ever decide to do this so we can sit back and watch the police respond to a possible 5150 at a gun store.

I agree. That Bushmaster BFC15 and its ISSC MK22 thrown-in aren't worth fighting beyond the above. Take the money and run... to some other dealer and buy something more worthy of your cash.

Oh, and Turners - you suck. What a royal screw up. You should have honored that price.

Another reminder as to why I haven't been in any of your stores in a good while, and have no regrets about paying MORE from other dealers even when I know I could get it cheaper at your stores.

Between the FUD, lies, arrogance with inexperience, extra paperwork, extra costs, and your employees botching so much (whether that be on inventory, price, or paperwork) that it causes unnecessary trouble for the consumer - yeah, I won't be rushing into your stores any time soon, no matter how good your advertised sale price may be on an item (for the fact that you rarely have enough in stock to cover your advertised prices in the first place, and if you do, well - crap like this thread then happens).

                                What a major PR mistake.
