I think the fact that you were lured into the deal to begin with smells of "Bait and Switch" of sorts.
They enticed you with a hell of a sweet deal. you asked more than once if that was a true deal, and confirmed by the sales person. You pay 100% of the price given. Now you show up to retrieve your paid for items and you owe more money? I don't know what that's called but it sounds like a type of bait and switch.

Get your full refund and DROS and be done with it.
Everyone jumps on saying he should get a FREE gun because of a MISTAKE. You have never made a mistake??
Do you guys understand that a company has the make a certain profit and if they do not by giving away FREE guns because of a mistake they will just raise prices in order to make there profit???? In the end YOU will be paying for it.
Try this on for size. YOU buy a car for a set price with the agreement that the dealer will install some accessories before you take possession. You pay in full and get a signed contract and depart.

But upon your return to pick up the vehicle (with signed contract in hand) you are told that despite the Sale's Mgr reviewing the contract you agreed to with the salesman PRIOR to you paying. that you now need to pay $1000 more before they will release the vehicle, since the salesman made a "mistake" by misquoting the price of the accessories.

So by your stated logic, you wouldn't hold them to a legally BINDING contract and would either:
A: Just pay the extra $1000 because after all it was just a mistake and if they gave you the car for the agreed upon price that it would just drive up the price of cars for everyone else.

      or

B: Ask for a refund and walk away.

So do I understand your position properly?

I would have to agree with everyone, they need to honor the receipt.

To my knowledge you don't DROS a gun unless it's paid in full. You have the DROS and you have a receipt that has a zero balance.

I believe you own the gun and they are holding it hostage. But did they re-DROS the gun?

This thread should be moved to the Calguns Turners page. That would get an answer

Edit: looks like you did that today, no response yet

with a new car or in my case when I buy new motorcycles paid in full I dont get the title for weeks
im sure same with a car, so its sort of hard to prove right there its yours
at least not in your name in the system yet

with the turners thing his receipt paid in full dros in his name with serial number
right there is your "title" lets say for the firearms
its just unfortunate the store has to hold for 10 days

did they tell you that you owed more during those 10 days or just waited for you to come in, maybe no phone number was on the forms thats why they had to wait?

It always feels like Turner's never wants my business. It takes an hour sometimes just to have someone acknowledge you. I have walked out of the Ventura Turner's and never purchased a single thing because of 40 minute waits. Turner's Pasadena is marginally better. As long as you show up at 20 minutes before they close you're good.

nope, Turner's can, and does, let you start DROS with just a deposit, not the full amount. you just have pay up on pickup. if you don't pay up, you don't get to pickup.

they used to require payment in full before they would start DROS but changed that a couple years ago.

I'll have to look at my turner's receipts to see if they say layaway on them even though I paid in full at the start.
i picked up a PPT S&W revolver from a Turner's 9 days ago (03/10/2015). along with my copy of the DROS is a LAYAWAY receipt for same revolver. Turners simply acted as the FFL for the transfer and was not the actual seller, yet the transfer had a layaway status and receipt was given to me to that effect.

My intentions are not to bash on Turners publicly, as I've contacted Rob at Turners via email last week and I've not heard back from him. I'm bringing this issue to Calguns to see if I'm in the right or in the wrong in the following scenario, maybe I can get an unbiased perspective.

I recently visited the Turners Pasadena store for the grand re-opening sale. My intentions were to look at the safes being offered. One of the salespeople there had brought a particular deal being offered for a Bushmaster BFC15 and receive an ISSC MK22 at no extra cost. The deal was advertised at $949.99. I was not particularly interested in that deal but the salesperson informed me that it would actually ring up to be cheaper than that, as she was able to apply an additional discount to the items. She informed me the BFC15 would actually be discounted to $700. I asked her several times if that was the final price, including the MK22, and she informed that yes, it was the final price and that also, it was the last one. I told her to go ahead and ring me up. The total rang up to $764 and some change. The receipt shows the BFC15 for the cash amount and the MK22 was rung up at $0.01. I DROS'd both weapons, paid in full and went about my way. I must also note that in the advertisement, layaway was not available, it must be paid in full. I complied.

Fast forward to my pickup date, a new salesperson handled me at the counter. She took my papers and informed that I still owed $330 dollars to complete the transaction. I informed her that this wasnt the deal I was offered, explained everything I just typed above. She said the previous salesperson made a mistake and that the deal was never offered at the additional discount given to me. I asked to speak to the manager and he informed me of the same. He informed me he was given 'additional help staff' for the grand re-opening sale and the particular salesperson that helped me was incorrect and the deal I was given would not be honored. He said the best he could do is give me the BFC15 at the price I paid but not the MK22.

I have receipts for both of the firearms, paid in full as previously mentioned. I'm just not sure where to go from here. Do I leave it alone? Do I just accept their mistake? Any advice or input is greatly appreciated.

Again, I'm not trying to bash Turners here, I emailed my story to their regional customer service agent, Rob. I have not heard anything from them.

                            **UPDATE **

I've updated this post to include the original receipt that shows paid in full, and the follow up receipt issued at time of pickup. The original receipt was printed on 2/22/15 and the second, showing the increase of $332, was printed 3/06/15, yet it does not show this date.
i would think that the statement that their girl "made a mistake" and the OP's original receipt pretty much sums up the fact that Turners needs to live up to their end of the deal and stop creating new paperwork to cover their asses

if it truly was "additional" people that were brought in for the re-opening then a manager should've been doing HIS job and overseeing that all sales by his temp help were done in an acceptable manner

and yes, a receipt is a binding contract as far as I've always been taught

Turner's should "eat it" and move along, the OP did his due diligence and completed his end of the transaction

maybe it will be a tough lesson to that manager of the store to keep a better eye on the transactions he is letting his "temp help" write up

Doesn't turners require more then a penny for layaway items? I can see if the difference was split between the guns but it wasn't. Also it has the unit price at 0.01 i would think if it were layaway that they would have the proper unit price.

Sounds like you just didn't get to take home your gun that you paid for bud.
