I truly respectfully disagree . If you have not taken possession of the item. The store , dealer or whom ever can say sorry we made a huge mistake . Here is all your money back .

I'm not saying the OP must pay the extra cost . Only that Turners had the option to return all moneys spent by the OP up to that point . That is my only point . I'm not debating who was wrong , what SHOULD have been done at any point during the sale . Just that a complete refund is not an unreasonable out come .
    Tolerate
allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.

Anyone else find it sad that those who preach tolerance CAN'T allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that they do not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.

I write almost everything in a jovial manner regardless of content . If that's not how you took it please try again

Maybe if they'd caught while he was still in the store at the time of purchase. Not 10 days later after the transaction was complete, monies paid and being given a receipt showing paid in full. At that point the business transaction was complete. The 10 day wait is for the Gov't business portion. They can't use the state mandated waiting period as their own grace period.

Because they wouldn't have refunded him his money if he came back 10 days later and decided the guns were to expensive and he didn't want to take them. They would have charged him a restocking fee.

I would agree except the sales agreement stated a cancellation fee of 30%. If Turner's was to refund OP's money and pay the cancellation fee..sure that would be fine.

We have quite a few lawyers here. How about your legal opinion? with a disclaimer by all means. All others (myself included) state what they feel which may or may not be legally correct.

Some lawyers did chime in earlier in the thread.

They can say that all they want. It doesn't change the fact that bait and switch (which is essentially what this is) is illegal, and they would have lost if taken to court.

A contract (receipt) is a contract. That means that no, Turners did not have the legal option to say refund or pay up as the only choices.

In a free state, the OP would have already taken possession of the guns and this entire thread would be non-existent. The fact that the state delayed his taking possession of the guns does not negate the contract, unless the state determines that he is a prohibited person.

If you weren't too lazy to read the entire thread, you would have seen that lawyers did indeed weigh in on this already and the consensus was that the receipt was a valid contract and Turner's would have lost in court.

You can disagree all you want but the lawyers have already spoken earlier in this thread and clearly stated the Paid in Full receipt was indeed a valid contract and would hold up in court.

This thread really needs to be closed as the OP has already posted that Turner's is indeed honoring their receipt and all you late to the party posters are doing is rehashing what's already been covered while adding nothing new to the conversation.

Agreed. Nothing further can be served by leaving this thread open.

And with that we are closed.

                        The issue has been resolved.
