When they're paying for the space, i think so. Lots of those posts were just bashing.

How frigging difficult is it for a chain store to make right on a $300 mistake that was caused by their employee's screw up??
Call the customer and say he can come and get both his guns with his paid in full stamped receipt, and that you are sorry you hired a store manager dumb enough to loose the chain this much money and business just to save a pitty amount.
That is less than a spit in the ocean for a chain store.

As soon as his 10 days were up from DROS and Turners refused to release the pistol. At this point I'd file a report with the local PD for a stolen gun.

I forwarded this thread to Bushmaster and Legacy Sports (as Importer) so they can see how one of their Distributors behaved to a customer in respect of a sale relating to their products.

          Disgraceful behavior by Turners.

I didn't read all the pages of this thread, but if this were any other purchase (without the 10 day wait and 2nd trip to the store) he would have went home with both items - PAID IN FULL - simple as that.

This is a lot of bad press for $300.00.

I can't believe they changed the receipt on their end, like that matters.

This is really bad customer service.

The employee talked him into the sale.

              Shame on you Turner's.

Yup I am thinking of making a webpage to put on there what they did to the OP and for people to add their complaints. Thinking of www.BoycottTurners.com

This is madness, I'll pay for hosting on that domain. However, I think www.turnersarethieves.com makes a better dot com name.

Sounds good. Anyone else have any input on the above idea?

thats what ive been saying all along
but some dont think police will do anything

I also suggested im sure the op could get some off duty officer from this site to accompany him to the store and make the manager aware of the legality of paid in full and im here to take my property

I'm guessing most likely th police will tell him it's a civil matter and to take them to court.

this was an internal mistake, the OP wasn't even in the store to take advantage of whatever $999.99 sale Turners was offering, he was led into the purchase by the "offer" of the salesperson, the representative of Turners

salespeople give customers "offers" all the time, offers that aren't posted on a wall, or printed in an ad

even more so, i think it was VERY underhanded of Turners to try and amend the receipt/sales contract to make it look like there was going to be additional money due on this sale at the time of pickup...to me, that's worse than screwing up the sale, it demonstrates a dishonesty that even most snake oil salesmen wouldn't try

they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to pull that off
^^^^^^ This guy gets it. Shady to say the least, amending the receipt and so forth. I've officially bought my last anything from turners. If they're the only store who has something I need, I'll wait till ANY other store or online retailer gets it.

hey about the original small receipt
that was credit card, did the transaction go through yet?

you think turners could force back that money like a refund, or do they need your approval to do so

also I saw the ad, so it looks like they were offering a free rifle
so isnt that your same exact deal you got
or did you somehow get everything much cheaper

Looks like everything has been worked out and they're honoring the original deal. No go shoot your new guns knucklehead!

So all it took was several pages full of posts with longtime customers threatening to take their business elsewhere and bad press for them to do right? Would this have been resolved if this thread didn't exist?

I still don't think I'm going to make any firearm or fishing purchases at Turners for a while... Or maybe ever again.
