22LR Shortage OveR?!?!?!?

They're really not that great of a deal. 2 weeks ago I purchased some Winchester 333 for $21 shipped. 3 boxes of CCI ran me $24 + gas.
In any case, I'm happy I have SOMETHING to shoot.

But the CCI is about ten times better than Winchester 333.

Winchester bulk is not in the same class as CCI Standard Velocity.

Stopped by the Upland store around 2:00 and they had 4 boxes left. I don't really need any 22 right now but none of these.

I bought 1 box and some Federal 9mm.

There was another guy standing there when I told the girl I wanted a box of 22's. He perked up like a puppy offered a treat and said they have 22's? I said yup; there are 3 boxes left, you should buy them.

It's over when you can walk into any shop & pick up a reasonably priced box on a very well stocked shelf that doesn't empty out at the end of the day (or within an hour).

Went to the San Jose Code of the West gun show this weekend. They had Wolf, Armscor, Remington (Thunderbolts), Colibri, and Federal Automatch.

The cheapest was the Thunderbolts for $57.95. The Automatch was 325 count for $34.95. Went on Saturday and then on Sunday morning and it was still on the shelf. Think it is a combination of this show not being well advertised, a home football game. Not ready to proclaim all is back to normal because the prices sure weren't, but it wasn't lines and empty shelves like it has been the past two years. Maybe with the season changing we'll see some drop in demand?

Yes the Winchester is crap. The CCI SV is great ammo. My favorite. No comparison between the two......

Everyone is overlooking the real deal. ZQI 7.62x51 for 7.99/box. That 308 brass for about $0.40 a round. No limit. Picked up 50 boxes.

I still can't find 22 though. I keep seeing posts that guys are finding it online but I haven't found squat in almost a year(bulk packs worth buying). Guess I'm busier than most and don't spend as much time looking.

I just went back tonight and picked up another 300 CCI standard and 4 more boxes of ZQi 7.62. They have tons of the CCI left. This is at the college grove Walmart.

That is true. I honestly don't notice a difference since I usually shoot steel. If it goes "ting " im happy.

I went to 2 Walmarts yesterday. one had Win 333 at $17 something, which I left, Went to the 2nd one and bought 3 CCI's. The Standards are my main slow fire pistol ammo these days. I'm already regretting not running to more WW's yesterday, but I made SO many other stops yesterday.
