One good day does not mean the shortage is over. I hit 2 WW"s and picked up 600 rounds for under $50.00 and 1/2 gal of gas

i went to san jose for the gun show this morning so i missed out. but while at the show we ran into a friend of our daughter so he called his buddy here in salinas and he took his wife and got their 6 boxes. the bulk 22 was 50 to 70 bucks at the show.

It will be over soon. The demand is high because of all the new gun owners post 12/14/12. 8-10 cents a round is a joke.

It's easing up but it's eased up before. As we get into winter the makers will keep making and the shooters in most of the country slow way down. Come spring demand spikes and gunbroker prices may very well go through the roof again.

And I don't think you're going to see less than 8 cents/round for decent .22 again, sorry. Inflation, etc.

I knew Walmart was going to have a big supply of CCI Standard ammo come in for over a week now. Actually Mine has been sitting on a large stash of it since last week and never sold it till today and tomorrow as part of some Fall promotion.

I started a thread about it five or or so days ago on the Marlin forum.

At first I thought it was just going to be my Store. Now I have found out it is more Widespread.

Mine had 22 cases this morning. That is 20 100 round boxes per case. 44,000 rounds if my math is correct.

And this is a two day event so I am sure they only put out half today I would suspect..So get to your Walmart and see if they are a participant or not..

Oh it was 7.49 a box today. A little high but it is better quality than Bulk Federal though.

Interesting. Brass badger did not show it in stock. I have a neighbor that went to 3 stores with his wife and they each bought their limit at each store today.

They were holding it for over a week now and not showing it in inventory..It was a secret

+1 I'm sure it is, but its not the gougers fault there is the shortage. Its simply demand, lots of shooters who want to buy lots of ammo.

People coming into this mess and trying to make a buck off it certainly doesn't help matters but is not the cause of the situation.

Saw nearly the same thing here in OC at two different Walmarts. One in Fullerton and one in Anaheim. They are having a sale on certain types of ammo (10/4 & 10/5). Bought ZQ1 9mm and 7.62x51 on sale.

I saw an ad they are having some kind of hunting sale today and tomorrow. CCI LRN for $7.47/100.

Probably all gone by now.
