The .22lr will catch up just like all the other calibers have done and the hoarders/flippers will lose $$$ haaa haaaa.

Guess then they will go back to collecting cans and plastic.

The top shelf is empty. It's the Walmart .22 shelf. When it's packed seven days a week at any time of day for three straight weeks I will declare the shortage over.

Having said that, it IS getting better.

Thank you Cabela's and Gander Mt.

Everyone is overlooking the real deal. ZQI 7.62x51 for 7.99/box. That 308 brass for about $0.40 a round. No limit. Picked up 50 boxes.

Took a chance at my local Wal Mart (Oroville) this morning on the chance they might bring out some more .22 this morning.

Got there just as the gal was unpacking the boxes. I got 3 325 round boxes of Fed Automatch and they still had tons more as of 7:45 or so.
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

Shortage is not over but it is loosening up. I got 5,000 rounds of CCI standard from my distributor last week. So nice to be paying below $325 a case again.

I doubt it will be over anytime soon...however...

I went by the Eastland Walmart yesterday morning looking for some cheap .380 and thought I had somehow walked into an alternate dimension...

The same entire shelf packed with .22!

                    Bagged my limit.

Laws against murder and attempted murder should have been the only gun control laws ever needed in America...

Scored 3 100 round packs of cci standard at $7.50 and 6 boxes of ZQi 7.62x51 at $7.99 per box. Not a bad start to the morning since I wasn't expecting to buy anything at all anyways.

Looks like CCI is moving away from the clear plastic boxes??

No, the Standards in 50 round boxes, 100 round and even the 500 round bricks have been cardboard for a long time.

The Other copper washed rounds like the Mini Mags and such still come in the Plastic boxes..

I just picked up 3, 100 round cci .22lr packs at my local walmart here in San Diego (Chula Vista). I went just to check and the lady was actually stocking the counter with them. She said "you looking for .22?" YES and bought the limit of 3 100 round packs.

Santa Clarita has them in stock still. Stopped in for the heck of it thinking it would be empty and the guy said that yesterday he had 30-40 people swarm the store first thing when it opened.

I bought my 3 box limit and also picked up some Tula.

They're really not that great of a deal. 2 weeks ago I purchased some Winchester 333 for $21 shipped. 3 boxes of CCI ran me $24 + gas.
In any case, I'm happy I have SOMETHING to shoot.
