Was able to get 3 boxes of CCI 100rd pack at about $7.5 each. They have more on the shelf though.

        Well, it's been 2 years since I've purchased 22LR.

I went to Wally-Mart yesterday and pickup 3 bricks of Federal Auto Match and went back today and they still had more, so I added another 3 bricks.

I can finally shoot my Kimber 22.

After doing ARA matches for a while I hope I never see any 22 L.R . ever!!!

I need to move to Salinas.
I drove down to my local walmart at 8:00 a.m just to see if they had anything. There was one box of Winchester 333 sitting in the corner. Needless to say, I snagged it.

usually the secret to walmart is show up at the time they bring out the ammo as many days as you can and keep at it. and of course i understand most cant do this. thats why you befriend someone like me lol. my wife does get after me though as she says at least make the guys you let have ammo give you money for a gallon of gas as i drive to town just to go look for ammo.

Lots of 22 rimfire at the gunshow this morning. The price was much lower than Big5 ammo prices. But still too high for my mind. Maybe I just need to succumb to the fact that price is 8 to 10 cents a round, take it or leave it.

I think the prices at places like Gander and Cabelas are a good benchmark, and even they are selling popular .22LR like mini mags at about 8 - 8.5 cents/round. So I don't think you're going to do any better than that in the near-mid term. Sure, eventually we'll get case pricing which will help, plus the occasional sale, but if you need ammo in the next year or so that's pretty much the best you can hope for and 10 cents/round isn't too outrageous for decent quality ammo.
