LGS in san Jose had a bunch of bulk packs. $75, but it will stop flippers cold in their tracks. people who really need it at least have a shot at some .22.Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Not 20 minutes ago I just picked up 3 100 round boxed of CCI Standard Vel at the Walmart in Encinitas CA. They had about 40 cases on the shelve. I have not seen this in literally 2 + years. I asked the guy when he got this in, he said 6pm TONIGHT. GREAT price and its about time! Go Go Go!!!Comment

If you want the prices to drop to the old days, you should be saying Wait Wait Wait!!!Not 20 minutes ago I just picked up 3 100 round boxed of CCI Standard Vel at the Walmart in Encinitas CA. I say thank God for government waste. If government is doing bad things, it's only the waste that prevents the harm from being greater.

What kind of government do you guys got here? This is worse than California.

I went at 5pm on a whim. It was there. I was glad to see several others I had not seen before waiting for the case to be opened. They were shopping for other things when they checked and saw it. I explained the stocking/selling schedule/brass badger etc to them.
In my area there is a group that is flipping ammo and making it impossible for most of these people to get it. I'd love to make life difficult for the flippers and let some of the other folks get some. Eventually it will balance out.Reach high, think big, work hard, have fun

Deal with what? I walked in and never even worried about getting any. I meandered around casually and never had one problem getting any. Shot the bull with others waiting around. Maybe people are more unfriendly at your Walmarts. But no problems here.
Never seen anyone dressed like that either
Have never had anything that even remotely could be called a hassle buying ammo at Walmart.
I even left the Sporting goods area to look for other stuff and came back and in two minutes I had my 3 boxes. What do you find so hard about that?
I know there will always be haters and people who will always Demonize Walmart. But I have 1000s of rounds of .22 all bought conveniently there. Never had the reason to ever order .22 online ever..It is higher online 99% of the time.
Good prices and no problem getting it at Walmart, when it is in stock of course..
Saturday delivery by FedX had to cost a fortune..Or do they not charge a surcharge for Saturday home delivery?
I like to buy my ammo locally for several reasons other than price. Convenience, (I shop all the time locally anyway), I guarantee you it took me less time to buy my ammo at Walmart than for you to open the package yours came in. not to mention to sit down and fill out the order..
I do not have to worry about the crappy delivery Company's losing it. No credit info broadcast over the internet. And I can take it home right away. No Big Brother to track my purchases, no records of what I buy locally, as I always pay cash for such things.Last edited by AR22; 10-04-2014, 9:51 PM.Comment

No such thing as FREE shipping. They may not charge for it as a shipping charge, but somehow you are paying for it..
It has to be added to the cost of the Product somehow or they would not be in business too long following that practice..

Not really. I was fortunate to have locked in a Cabela's "glitch" earlier this spring. There were about 30 .22LR items totaling about $700, most of which went backordered. Many uncommon items. They have shipped that order to me piecemeal to the point I actually feel kind of bad. Last thing I received was a Winchester Oak Box. Shortly before that, it was a single 50-round box of something or other. All the items are shipped free. Please let me know how I paid for the shipping in that $2.49 they charged my card?
