GI Bill Budget Build

Kept it cheap and simple! This's my first rifle type firearm. Seems a bit more solid than the GI M16. I dig it.

Looks pretty close to me, even with the A2 handle.

If that is the case, then you need to work on your Attention To Detail (or lack of).

Different upper, different handguard, different barrel...

But at least the pistol grips looks similar.

Actually the A1 grip was pretty different. No finger notch and it had a built in storage compartment. Personally I found them to be much more comfortable than the A2 grip. They are next to impossible to find these days. Last time I built a retro rifle I tried ordering them from about 12 different sites that said they had them. Turns out they had all be out of stock for years.
