Default Saiga 12 Conversion, Updated pictures, break-in results

Here is my conversion, I did the work since it was pretty easy
UTG butt pad
K-Var warsaw pact length black stock
TAC-47 Trigger Guard
Tapco G2 Single Hook
I reused the FCG spring since Im a cheap ***, after 200 rnds on tuesday at SVRGC the spring did not show any movement and held the pins in place.

I chose to try the light loads for break-in even though others say break in with heavy loads... I checked my gas ports and found 3 unobstructed ports; good to go there. Didn't polish the contact points on the FCG, its a shotgun not a precision rifle. I did lube the rails and extractor with some CLP...

I alternated mags of 10 rds from each type of ammo found at walmart. The winchester is weak as hell and the hulls crush upon extraction. The federals stink like hell but hold their shape and showed signs of cycling as soon as i hit around 70-80...
THE FIRST 150 FAILED TO EXTRACT and every one after that cycled just fine! It was a great feeling because I was getting frustrated manually cycling the gun. Its broken in now, nothing heavier that 7.5 birdshot used.

Nice. I just took my S12 to the range earlier this month with centurion multi shot. It's a fun shotgun, I'm gonna shoot this thing more often..

Were you shooting with the gas on or off with the birdshot?

I shot it there, it was busy that day, I checked in and only showed them my ammo. No one looked at me or my lane the whole time I shot, the thing is to be low key. Some of the employees there arent too sharp and I got in with slugs one time and they got all mad when they could hear extra loud bangs. They tried to kick me out and then I did a 4 round burst with my MPA930 and no one paid any attention. So they're a little strange. Another time I brought my AR pistol with a 22lr conversion and they didnt even know what an "AR pistol" was so I said 22 Pistol.

Well the basic conversion was the stock, fcg, pistol grip and mags. Those can be had for around $150
The gun itself was $600 after ffl transfer.
so it all depends on where you go and what parts you buy.

I remember when I was shooting my old Glock G29. 1 shot every 2 seconds, got 2 warnings then they said they were going to kick me out LOL I just rapid fired my whole mag and said ok, I'm done anyways

Funny because the RO said I was shooting darn good but yet they didn't want me to rapid fire because they were scared I couldn't hit the target? I don't miss Targetmasters too much... Especially the part when people load the rounds backwards in the mag and don't know why it won't load? So they have the mag in the gun and point it at themselves looking down the barrel.... yeah... smart...

I put some Lowes nylon hole plugs a while back, I actually drilled into my KVar stock and that way they fit really snug. They look nice and have to be destroyed to be removed.

Nino, you might want to take a few of those pics down and do a little work on your shotgun.

12276.1. (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall also mean any of the following:
(6) A semiautomatic shotgun that has both of the following:
(A) A folding or telescoping stock.
(B) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or vertical handgrip.
(7) A semiautomatic shotgun that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine

He doesn't have a folding or telescoping stock. As long as the stock is fixed, you are GTG

I HATE ALL BULLET BUTTONS, except the part where they make it possible for me to own "evil" things in CA.

In short, its a maglock, it slows me down and makes me want to move out of CA. If I ever though of using a maglocked gun for self defense I'd hope all my attackers would stand in ranks so that I could use my 10 rds/shells without worrying about a reload.

Pics are coming back up... soon...

I got tired of that RVG that I wasn't using so I decided to do some new work on my s12 .

around 15 ish...

that nasty residue was from the paint that I didn't really bother cleaning off from the inside.
I would have gone from the inside but I didn't think of it. I used copper on the back, no holes found after cleanup.
