One of my childhood Heroes is Lucal McCain

It started with picking up a Henry Big Boy in .44 Mag
From a Good 'ol Cal Gun guy

Then I wanted More .......
So I rewarded myself with something " New "
I bought a new -in- the box Henry Golden Boy / .22
Has to be the Smoothest .22 I have ever shot !!
I haven't bought myself a New firearm in Years ..........

Now .......I have an urge for a Rossi Ranch Hand

Are my needs " Wanted dead or Alive " ?

Dirt, you need a Winchester/Browning/Miroku 1892 in blue! in .44...

I have one to honor Luke McCain, but rather than shoot full-house .44 Mag loads in it, I download Mag brass with 6.0 grains Titegroup under a 205-grain moly-coated, powdercoated RNFP for 1100 fps from the 20" carbine barrel... it's a nice load fer th' plinkin'! and mimics the 19th Century .44-40 ballistics from the same gun.

That 125 grain green and white box is the hottest factory ammo that I have ever shot..

I still have a few 50 rd green/white boxes of that same bullet commercially loaded in .38 Special +P. It's good stuff, and a perfect load from the diminutive J-Magnum frame Model 60-15.

I might have baked a few extra loaves and will have them with me tomorrow if you happen to find me...

Great minds and all that, Chris. I load a 200 gr coated RNFP over 7.1 gr of W231 in magnum brass to shoot from my Rossi .44 92 and a coated 225 gr Truncated cone over 7.0 gr of W-231 for my Rossi .45 Colt 92.

Had a Henry H001M (.22 Mag) but traded it.

It was Widder, there, (Widowmaker is his SASS name) that helped me with my first Marlin, an 1894CS357 years back. Glad to see him still busy and looking well. Rusty Marlin was another that helped. I learned a bit from reading between the lines on Steve's Guns webpage and then slicked-N-spranged my Rossi 92...

Widder become known for his "Widdermatic" Marlins. And I'd not doubt his mechanical prowess when tending to these Zamak-cast Henry rimfires.

That's certainly quick indeed! however it is when he runs dummy rounds through his Marlin "Widdermatic" 1894 that the noise resembles the mechanism of a full-auto machine. All those CAS guys are pretty danged good.
