^ ^ ^ Nice. Do you have ammunition for it? I might be able to part with 20 rounds just to whet yer appetite. Again, welcome aboard.

Mark! I understand completely. Only trying to help.

Maybe the seller would take a couple Rossi's in trade or a brick of 22lr, maybe 1k small pistol primers
I do have a couple new 1# jugs of Vargetl

Spent my morning prepping 500 pieces of 444 Marlin brass, in hopes that the rebarrel work will be done soon and I can do load development.

If anyone remembers, it's a 1970 Marlin with a factory defect inside the chamber, so I bought a replacement barrel from Sarco and sent it off to one of our esteemed CG smiths to have it threaded and installed. I think it was back in November when I sent it, and I'm getting anxious, but don't want o bug him yet since it's still this side of when I figured it (and the 1885 Winchester I also sent) would be nearing completion.

I'm excited. Even though I haven't found any lead free bullets for it yet.

Now, prepped a bunch of 45 Colt before prepping dinner. Glad I remembered to wear a glove.

Have to have some ammo ready for when I pick up my Buntline on Thursday! ...and my pair of Marlin 1894 Cowboys are feeling neglected too.

Next project, work up a lead free load for the 20" and sight it in. The 24" will stay original with big slow heavy lead.

Hey guys, I'm looking at a safe from Costco. They say free curb side delivery. Does anybody know how they drop it off? a fork lift maybe ? I've got to go about 40 feet to the garage and up hill about 4 feet..

This should be good for my ammo, knife collection and over flow from my other safe.

Likely a box truck with a lift gate, and dropped off literally at the curb/on the sidewalk. If you tip em an extra 20 bucks they may let you use their dolly to strap it in and drag it up.

Read the reviews to get a sense of past practices....

Transport is the only variable in the equation.

This 800 pound monstrosity was delivered by a lone driver who had a lift gate on a panel truck. The truck couldn't (driver wouldn't) drive up the driveway to offload. The shipping was outside of the scheduled window and I was not at home for delivery. The driver and my spouse offloaded onto the tailgate of my truck, causing nearly as much damage as the safe cost. If you order this, plan to have at least three friends and a furniture dolly at the delivery to manage the drop-off and that "curb-side" means on the road in front of your house.

RL trucking was great!!!! Our driver was awesome

The delivery service was unacceptable. He was very rude and didn't want to listen to what I had to say at all. He just wanted to drop the safe at the end on the driveway (not at the house mind you) and leave.

The delivery man, Cory, was very polite and placed the Safe in my garage right where I wanted it. Honestly, I could not be happier! Thanks Costco, Cannon and Cory.

The delivery driver with R&L Carriers was great, willing to roll it into my garage and allow me all the time I needed for a thorough inspection, inside and out. I was able to get it off the pallet and scooted it into place by myself. Granted that's probably not the best idea, but with a little ingenuity, I was able to make it happen without getting flattened.
Seems like the key would be early and concise communication with the shipper. Maybe a couple of bucks ready upon delivery to help the conversation.

I'm willing to help, but it'll cost you a bunch of good scotch for me to drive from Sacto........(I'd bring lever guns....)

Thanks for the info. It's going go be a few months before I order it. Lucky for me I have half a high school football team to help if I need it.

I've got a 30" and 40" cannon slightly different models but similar weight.. I used uhaul appliance dollies for like $10/day and a buddy or two with good backs.. they roll around fairly easily that way..

btw, that looks like a good deal, I might look into another one, mine are both packed.. recently tried organizing some of my handguns and now I'm running out of shelf space on top and still need more racks LoL

I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

Cool...then you'll only have a few dozen SoCal teenagers who know you have a gun safe.

My grandchildren don't know what's in my safe...I've told them it's for business documents for Grandma's home business, and some of Great Grandma's old stuff. They now ignore it.

That's only a couple hundred cheaper than I paid for a Cannon 72" tall by 48" wide by 28" deep model with delivery from Dean Safe.
They remove it from it's pallet and put it all the way into my shop where it lives.

Yeah, I'm not paranoid. These kids have been to our home many times and have already seen safe #1. Oh yeah, they are all white too..... I had to throw that in so they didn't really have a good team.
