This should be good for my ammo, knife collection and over flow from my other safe.

I will check those as well, thanks....

The one in the Costco link that I posted is a Cannon safe.

Edit: The Cannon Safes are made in Mexico..

I've been considering buying a lever action wood stock rifle, and would like some help. I'm looking for something fairly inexpensive, reliable, and common. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Since it'll be a few days since I log back on to CalGuns, please send me a PM.

Should MLC choose to adopt me, I request that my membership title not be Member, but Transient. After all, I actually am one. Hehe today, but may not be tomorrow.

Tom, I have the same Sportsman Steel safe that you have. I bought it about 25 years ago.

Man your up early. I'm just going to bed

lol no kidding. You and me both.

I do but since it's a keen sense of humor it doesn't always seem to appear.

But, good grief! between the "PC" (tyranny with manners) and "#metoo" BS at work, it will wear on you. Now everyone's offended.

                        I digress. Please. Carry on.

Looks like I get to shoot a newly-overhauled 39A today. Winds should taper off after lunch.

Gonna head for the hills. Mojave's too far today.

With all this talk about safes, no one has mentioned Sturdy Safe out of Fresno. I was fortunate to be in one of the calguns S S group buys (there were several) a couple of years ago. What caught my attention was that the materials used were of good quality American steel, S&G locks, American workers building in house a basic no frills safe. They did however offer quite a few options, fire walls of hard spun glass (not sheetrock), thicker steel walls, various interior configurations, etc. These safes are in no way "off the shelf" as they are built to your specs as they don't carry any unsold finished inventory.
I went to their place of business (called ahead) to see their products and manufacturing facility as they have no outside dealerships. In one area of the plant there were about fifty completed safes all on separate pallets all presold, no two alike and ready to be shipped. Everything was pretty much done under one roof and quite a roof it is-the shop is very old as in blacksmith old!
I just checked their website sturdysafe.com and they've branched out a bit adding some jazzed out models but still offer some economy style safes.
Oh, and the woman in their website's photos happens to be the bosses daughter-she gave me the tour....
