Amazingly, I was somehow able to get on this after randomly trying, while waiting for something else.
There is the other new, and much better forum over at CAguns; you might want to start something similar over there. It is growing, while Calguns sputters in death throes on its way out. There is much discussion about what has happened here, and the shenanigans of the Janitor which has led to the downfall.

Yes, I have been going there just about every day.

S&W has made a lever action they call the Model 1854. Looks like a Henry-Marlin. Would have to handle and shoot one to give a real opinion.

Carol Watson's Orange County Auctions has a Win 9422M that is pretty reasonable right now. They are right iff the 91 Freeway in Fullerton/Anaheim. If you are local, you can do the DROS right there when you pay for it. I have purchased a few guns through them - nice people. Easy communications.
