I got that email, then got excited, then realized I don't think I need any parts! ...although maybe I should get some spares. I did just order a bunch of bullets for my 444, it's a riot to shoot.

Actually, heck. Anyone here know off the top of your head if the shotgun style stock that came on the early 444 Marlins will take a normal shotgun style buttpad? Mine doesn't have one and I never remember to order one that will fit.

Wow! First time I've been able to log on in a long........time! Howdy guys! You are now part of the landed gentry there in UT Chris? Just was through there. Went for a week to ID visiting and fishing. We'd talked about doing a lil shooting but didn't end up doing any:

Whereabouts are you there in ID? We were in the Pocatello area. Took me days to get on here and write this reply.

Yep, last week I was in Idaho Falls/Rigby area also. Buddies were scouting some deer/elk area east of Palisades Res. Beautiful country back in there. Might be going back just to help out when someone puts a tag on one.

Marlin Model 1894 .45 ACP 17" Ranger Point Precision Lever Action Rifle

This looks very interesting, I've never seen a conversion in .45 ACP

It's available in Simi Valley at Mt. McCoy Auctions... https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1131741294

                        well which is it?

                        Caliber: .45 ACP

Our Assessment: This rifle is a real find. With an aftermarket Ranger Point Precision barrel chambered in the popular .45 Colt, it’s a great SASS shooter that you can feed without breaking the bank.

picture 8 of 18 actually shows 45 AUTO stamped on the barrel for those here interested in purchasing.

common issue with LSB/McCoy. I've emailed them several times to point out listing errors and description conflicts such as this. Caliber errors, model number errors, barrel length errors, etc. It's either extremely lazy or deceptive, hard for me to believe it's lack of knowledge or experience.

Both. The .45 Auto is SAMMI’s standard identification because they didn’t want a “Automatic Colt Pistol” trademark in their standards.

                          It’s the same cartridge.

I see Malin now has the 1894 trapper in 10mm out.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

naturally.. but 45 ACP / 45 AUTO is not the same as 45 Colt

there is a caliber conflict between the caliber listed and the description as I quoted the listing text verbatim above. barrel marking 45 AUTO in the picture verifies the caliber listed as 45 ACP, not 45 Colt in the description.

the description states 45 Colt and further alludes to that in two places bolded below. this gives the appearance of drawing fans of both calibers to the ad rather than simply stating it's one not the other or just state the caliber it is. It would seem deceptive as I find it difficult to believe they have an employee evaluating guns that doesn't know the difference while potential buyers may not. I expect better/more accurate listings from LSB/McCoy.

Our Assessment: This rifle is a real find. With an aftermarket Ranger Point Precision barrel chambered in the popular .45 Colt, it’s a great SASS shooter that you can feed without breaking the bank. The furniture is in good condition; the gun retains 90% of its metal finish and an action job has been performed, making the lever throw short and silky smooth. The 17” barrel gives it light weight maneuverability. If you’re a Cowboy shooter or a fan of lever action rifles, you’ll love having this gun in your collection. Please see our photos and good luck!

LSB and MtMcoy are separate entities.
I think some of the better ad-writers moved up to Wyoming when LSB opened it's Wyoming location.
MtMcoy is what's left of Simi LSB after LSB left.
One of the early LSB investors split-off from LSB and took over the Simi location and re-named to MtMcoy.
