Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I got lucky one time at the private range at Burro Canyon where someone had shot a ton of M-1 Carbine and left the brass. I hve also gotten some .45-70, .45 Colt, etc there. I have so much .45 ACP brass that I probably could not shoot it up in my lifetime.

I finally got to shoot my new to me Marlin 39A and Ruger Single Six. They're both an absolute hoot.

That is a great .22 combination. I got my Single Six Convertible in 1976 and my 39A in 1977. Love them both.

Switch over to granulated Epson salt-actually it's more magnesium, not common table salt so it won't harm your plants.
Hasn't clogged my bug-a-salt 3.0 and shoots with power just the same or more so depending on the grit.

Indeed it is. I didn't bring my other cylinder for the Single Six so stuck to shooting .22 LR, but it was a good time. Mine are '63 and '64, 39a and Single Six respectively.

I just posted the info on the CHFC 76th Annual Fish Fry at

A few of the MLC have attended this event in the past and can vouch for the food and the location....I will be in the kitchen, breading fish. We serve over 1000 meals that day.

Wish I could attend - sounds like a blast!

I might just be sitting near Tom and pennwife... and, speaking of a fish fry! Where's Randall R been lately? He likes to attend this deal.

OK, lever gurus, have a value question for you. I have a pristine box of Winchester "Legendary Lawman" 30-30 ammo, nickel cased, 150ge Silvertip. It was a part of the "Legendary Lawman" rifle special edition rifles in 1977 I believe.

I looked on GB and they are going for $85 a box. Is that an accurate value or is it the prototypical GB markup?
