Suppressed SBR lever guns shooting big giant heavy bullets at very quiet subsonic speeds are pretty popular outside of CA. They seem to be hella fun too, judging by the videos I've seen of the folks shooting 'em! Some day I'll move and start buying tax stamps.

Shooting the low-pressure Remington load I described from my 18.5" GS is quite fun so I can see the attraction. Too, for close range pig shooting... huh. I'd spend $200 for that one.

Funny thing is that the $200 has never been increased. That was a lot of money in the 1920s or 1930s when that BS started.

You only have to make multiple yearly payments if you're buying multiples every year. The tax stamp is a one time thing per item.

Got it, I was under the impression. That the tax stamp needed yearly renewal.

Wow, thanks so much for the insight! It was the caliber that attracted me.... I already have a Winchester that is chambered for 44-40, and reload for it.

I don't like the longer barrels either.
That's why I stick to 3" to 6" barrels on most revolvers.

I picked up a 3" S&W 32 hand ejector today with a 3" barrel as well as a Savage 101 with a 4" barrel.
