A hike up to the top of Devil's Postpile and you're standing/walking on top of the hexagonal post formations-really a cool experience.

There is an area that has a hexagonal section somewhat like the Devils post pile on the Sonora Pass route. It is small but quite nice.

Columns of the Giants Trail located next to the Pigeon Flat Campground (walk-in) on CA 108. The trail provides an easy quarter mile walk to an unusual geologic formation with views of basalt columns, reminiscent of the Devil's Postpile.

I've been there a few times. It's pretty cool. Best early in the morning, or late afternoon.

I used to be a desert rat on the east side of the Sierra. Bodie is a must-see for tourists, and the Chemung Mine ruins are cool and easily accessible and worth a look. Also - down Bodie Canyon and then right towards the Esmeralda Mine is the town site of Aurora, another cool place to see. Wandering around in the Glass Mountain area ss pretty neat, and Glass Creek on the west side of 395 is interesting.

Up for a bit of walking? The Inyo Craters is a nice hike, and the Panum Crater just to the east of 395 and just north of Hwy 120 is very cool. If you're adventurous and have 4WD, Pizona is worth a look - interesting area geologically, and you'll likely see wild horses. Be advised - the road alternates between very sandy and rock strewn, and is not for the timid driver.

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Do you have a method for plucking them, or simply by hand? They look great!

                      Thanks.

These were planted birds and the cost of the birds includes cleaning and vacuum packaging.
When we hunt wild birds, all the plucking is done by hand or sometimes we breast the birds.
It can depends on how much of the pattern the bird took.
Occasionally, a bird becomes SBR (shot beyond recognition).

I think I'll have one for lunch...

I started buying these Tomahawk steaks from Stater Bros at the end of last year. You want one around 3#, which is around $40-45 . The best darn steak I've ever cooked. It's good for 3 people, maybe 4.

A coating of olive oil, some fresh thyme, chopped garlic, salt and pepper and smothered in butter before serving....

I burn it on the Weber for a couple minutes on each side then toss it in the pellet grill at 425 until it reaches 135.. a little rest for 10 minutes and then serve.

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I know we all have our different methods and spice. This one has worked best for me.
