G19 - STUCK

My wife's G26 jammed 4 times this past weekend at the range. I think its the mag as well. I have to check it out.

Glock 26 magazines are good to go right out of the box. They even come with the much better 9mm6 follower. Is she using G19 magazines in in her G26?

I ordered Gen 4s (not from Midway) but mine came with the 2183s

PS-@Poorman, those followers look like they're riding REALLY high in the magazine. Hope you get it all sorted out.

Thanks. I'm realizing I sanded in the wrong place. I sanded from the top of the mag downward. I re-read diese's post and he clearly said to sand "the inner edge".

Going to start over with new mags.

I ordered Gen 4s (not from Midway) but mine came with the 2183s

The listing at glockstore.com states: "Magazine Follower for 9mm cap-style - marked 9mm 6 - fits ONLY mags factory-supplied w/ "4", "5" or "6" followers & Gen4"

So from the posts above, the 9mm6 works with earlier mags with some minor sanding, BUT they should work with all Gen 4 mags with no mod.

Has anyone put the 9mm6 in gen4 mags to confirm this?

I sanded the followers instead of the magazines. Cheaper ($4 vs $25) if you make a mistake.

I went to Glock and downloaded their parts order form. It has the exactly the same description as glockstore "Magazine Follower - 9mm cap-style - marked 9mm 6 - fits ONLY mags factory-supplied w/ "4", "5" or "6" followers & Gen4 "

I'll probably just buy Gen4 mags and not worry about grinding on my Gen3s. Gen3 mags are certainly easy enough to sell.

Unfortunately they probably need to update the description to say non-CA Gen4. The neutered mags are slightly different even Gen4

Good idea. My only hesitation would be if sanding the follower would make the rounds sit any differently. But, I suppose that sanding the inside of the mag could affect it the same way. In any case, it seems that the 9mm 6 seems to be the most permanent solution.

Yes. With the 9mm3 followers I can consistently induce a FTF usually on the 7th-4th JHP round using the Slide release check. I noticed if I hand cycle the slide it usually feeds fine.. but it varies..

-Just grabbed one of my spare 10rd mag with the 9mm3 follower, loaded 6 rounds of Gold Dots 124GR+P, locked the slide back, inserted mag and it FTF using the slide release.
-I loaded the same round (inspected, no bullet set back) back in the mag, locked the slide back, re-inserted mag and slowly rode the slide (trying to produce a FTF), it fed perfectly fine (I did this twice)..

I have not had the chance to hit up the range yet but the 5 Mags I've modify with the 9mm6 simply works. I could not produce a single FTF of any sort, even slowly riding the slide etc. I am happy and confident in the new followers.

Just got back from the range this afternoon. The wife shot her Gen 4 Glock 19 with the new 9mm 3 followers. At least 3 times, the rounds hung up on the feed ramp on the 6th round in the mag. These were 115 grain FMJ's, not JHP (we didn't have any JHP to shoot this afternoon). She just decided to shoot with only 5 rounds in the mags to bypass the jam. So, I just ordered some 9mm 6 followers off e-Bay.

I'll try to take some good pictures to post the differences between the followers etc.

More and more, I think the only solution is to buy some magblocks and a Glock tool, drive out of state and buy all the 15-round mags you want, install the blocks and drive home. 100% legal.

That said, I installed 9mm6s (correctly this time) on 2 10rd mags the other day. I hope to get to the range soon.
