100% huh...maybe we should make a bet.Like the poster above mentioned his veto notes said he was for "closing the loophole" but not at the expense of telling people how many of their own guns they could sell per year.
What are the odds that it gets reintroduced this year, but without that part of the bill?
Close to 100% I will say.
I'll take SSE still exists after Jan. 1st. 2015...Last edited by ptusa; 11-01-2013, 7:24 PM.Comment

why on Earth would you challenge someone on the side of freedom???
Disagree with opinion all you want (it's what makes Internet forums what they are...)
But wagering (IMO) is telling someone they are so entirely wrong that you value your opinion much higher... this my friend, is the bickering match that anti gun kooks thrive for - it's right up their alley... passionate garbage that has nothing to do with safety OR Freedom.Last edited by LBDamned; 11-02-2013, 12:22 AM."Kamala is a radical leftist lunatic" ~ Donald J. How is posting the one is nearly 100% sure SSE is going away being on the "side of freedom"?!?!?why on Earth would you challenge someone on the side of freedom???

Explain that one.
Now we are going to start with declarative statements about what will be law 14 months from now?
Can we at least wait until a bill is introduced before we start assuming we are losing things?
Sick of the Chicken Littles...that is all.Last edited by ptusa; 11-02-2013, 9:11 AM.Comment

You probably already saw this.

Lots of dealers will include the SSE for no charge if you buy/order the gun from them. The $100 is often when you order it yourself and ship to the FFL for just the transfer.Comment

Single shot exemption
Can I get a single shot exemption on the Glock RTF2 and the Glock 25th Anniversary? They say they are Gen 4's????
Thanks...Comment

New to Calguns here and this thread is the reason why. Living in California is a pain for someone who wants a gun that is not approved. I personally want an STI gun for my first purchase.
That said, we still have another year of SSE or it ends at the start of the new year? It would be nice if I (actually all of us) have more time because I want a Tactical 4.0 or I will have to just purchase a Ranger II before January '14. Thanks for the reply.Comment

Ryan at Table Rock Arms In Oregon!!!!
Just wanted to say that I also go through Ryan at Table Rock Arms in Oregon for my One Shot Exemption also. He is GREAT!!!! Poor guy is working his butt off...gotta love him!!!! Ryan...I believe they have you listed on here for an FFL Dealer Out of State who does One Shot Exemptions but they have no address posted. Might want to contact them. Not as if you need the business hun...lolThanks for the kind words. I have been doing my best to stay on top of things, but I have been swamped with requests. Funny thing is when I had two barrels I was thinking if I had a couple more I would be set. Now I have probably 20 barrels and I am just as far behind as when I had 2.
Ryan
edit: Thinking about it now I have about 30 barrels for single shot conversion.

There's an FFL at my work that primarily sells to the police officers I work with so he doesn't really deal with SSE, but may be open to it. I've read this thread and will send him this link. My legalese isn't that good, but from what I've read, he can order a non-roster gun from his distributors then convert it with barrel and single shot mag then DROS it (with single shot exemption as type)? Am I missing anything else? Sorry if it's been asked, I tried researching before posting this but this is what I got out of it so far. Thanks for any info!
*edit*
Forgot to mention - he needs to be an 07ffl? Or does that apply to a shop sending him an SSE'd pistol? Crap, I think I need to read this thread a second time!Last edited by drunktank; 11-16-2013, 7:20 PM.
