The best advice I ever got about shooting quickly for USPSA: When you shoot do not try to grip the gun in place to fight recoil. You are not as strong as the hulk. The gun will move no matter what.

Grip the gun hard enough and consistently enough to keep it on target- let the recoil happen with your arms and keep wrists locked- and when the gun rocks back down it will be back on target. Like a sewing machine- you fire, let the gun cycle itself back on target- and learn a rhythm. As you become a better shooter- your rhythm can speed up- better trigger control and better feel for how fast you can get back on target.

While chicks that look like strippers aren't my thing, Taran's harem reminds me of something Drew Carey said. When asked why he brought strippers with him to award shows, he responded, "Because I can."

As a side issue, I shot a few USPSA matches in Revolver division and I can do sub-20 splits with my tuned 627 V-Comp and both 929s.

Big woop, I can do sub 20 second splits with my 627 too.

It takes a lot of dry practice. And trigger practice is the easiest dry practice that you can do all day everywhere you go. Just pick your nose 15 hours out of the day and watch you skill skyrocket. They call it the booger hook for a reason.

creepy? no

i believe it is the natural progression. once you get 1-2 hot chicks willing to vouch for him, then more are willing to goto him since he is now perceived as safe.

Some do it for the instagram PR. since i'm sure they all get a nice little bump in followers once they show up on taran's IG page.

but remember that not all of them are really into shooting or 2A. remember that whole debacle with one of the gun bunnies (Rochelle Hathaway) at Shot Show last year? Where she said people don't need more than 3 guns, semi-autos, or suppressors.

the only one i wouldn't consider a gun bunny is that Jade woman, as it seems she actually does go out to competitions and is always there when the celebs are training.

He shoots the matches where I shoot. Nice guy. Always has a smile and shoots the **** with everyone. Honestly no different than the 99% of the guys that shoot USPSA. I've never participated in an organized, competitive sport, where the vast majority of competitors are very supportive, encouraging and willing to help lesser skilled folks improve. Really is a great community.
