Yes, I can. The heavier bullet has a different trajectory than a lighter bullet. Bullets don't travel in a straight line; they travel in a curve - called "Trajectory." Weight and velocity change the trajectory, causing a different POI.

Search "Trajectory," & look at the charts.

I understand trajectory. I also understand one of the main influences on trajectory and that's recoil. Recoil will raise the line of bore BEFORE the bullet exits the barrel. A heavier bullet will create more recoil than a lighter bullet if velocity is equal. This raises the line of bore so the heavier bullet will impact higher.

I addressed my question to those that are asserting that recoil has zero influence on the trajectory a bullet because the bullet is long gone out of the barrel before the start of the recoil impulse.

I am NOT going to deny that this was an awesome run!

But with an Open Gun, Race Holster and a Magwell - those advantages "add" up, me thinks...

Doing this with a Production Glock, where the only modification was grip tape, polished trigger and a precision barrel... As Ben Stoeger once replied to one of my questions in his forum, "... an Open shooter should be at least 20% better than a similarly skilled Production shooter..."

Then again - it won't hurt me to strive
