Me? I'm 61, I stated shooting USPSA when "limited" was called "tactical" and the fast guys were shooting single port comped .45s

$150,000 consultation fee for trainer and facility, unlimited ammo, and a month on the range, I'll shoot like Halle Berry

That's great. But my comment is true of a lot of people critical of competition. I just shot a level 2 match this weekend. My single stack loads chrono'd at 179. Over 250 shooters at the match. I'm 66.

I have a membership at a public range that allows action shooting in their members only bay. I practice there. When waiting for the member bay, I will go over to the paper pistol range and practice transitions or doubles and what not. The RO there, really nice guy, is a tacticool dude.

On a couple of occasions I've had random shooters come over and ask me questions about my shooting. He always comes over to inform them of how what I'm doing is all fine and dandy for "gaming" or competition but it has no place in defensive shooting. I just let him go and don't comment. Actually makes me chuckle to myself a bit.

is that the going rate for training with Taran Butler? Hm, I wonder how all the gun bunnies that train with him are able to do so.... maybe Taran sees talent/potential and waives his fee

I hear you. After all, improving your shooting speed and accuracy couldn't help in a tactical situation. Everybody knows that!

I do not think he takes on training Hollywood stars at the going rate for gun bunnies. I also think he probably choreographs some of those gun scenes.

If he does, 150k per movie star, per movie is chump change. Ive met him at matches. He is a smart and extremely talented guy. He should have no problem charging such a fee, and he deserves it.

Just a reminder to not pay for Hollywood movies. I usually find the used DVD a few months later for $5.
Not paying for Hollywood movies that are actually good (like John Wick) just means they will stop.making good movies.

You also dont need to hire a trainer to learn to shoot like this, just go to pistol action shoots
