well training is done through classes. where you can then do all the fancy stuff.
practice is the harder part.
in LA area, the only places I know of that allows public rental of private bays is Angeles, Burro, and Raahauges.
there are some that allow rentals, but only to training businesses or LEO. (pala being one)
the easiest one is Raahauges, since there is no waitlist/signup. you just go, and wait in line as it is first come first served (but can only stay 2 hour max i believe). Angeles and Burro require signups and have very long wait times. Burro is at like 3-4 months wait for a weekend slot. Weekdays i'm unsure since i never asked. but these you can stay open-close so no rush.
