The links to those files are no longer active and the documents are no longer accessible. Unless someone saved the PDF files, they are long gone.

I like your statement about our county officially being shall issue but I will not go that far until I see the sheriff approving permits (without restrictions) to all those who qualify and used lawful self defense as the good cause.

I worry a bit with the current state of the case and the people trying to intervene. I truly hope the majority opinion from the 9th stands and the self defense good cause becomes the law.

I wonder if the sheriff will go shall issue no matter what the outcome of the case so he can compete with his competition Pat who is no doubt very vocal about being Pro 2A and all for CCW's to everyone that is not prohibited.

Also wonder if things change after the election.

        Time will soon tell.

        Welcome again...
Thanks for the welcome and very well said and I agree... that election is in June;it's time our voices are heard... it starts with appointments today.

Can I apply with the county living in Manteca? From what I have read Manteca's process is ridiculous, and maybe a waste of time since "their lawyers are reviewing the decision" still

Yes, any resident within San Joaquin County.

Right now I think everyone's best chance is with the Sheriff's office. Going through the local PD in these cities is still virtually impossible until/if the laws change.

written up in the Manteca Bulletin as well:

Point well taken; however, the policy statements have been publicly made and are similar to other counties who have fallen in line with the 9th Cir and I think it's important to hold him to that position.

Anyone denied for lack of good cause after the application itself says in black and white "personal protection is good cause" will surely have a good lawsuit.

Wow, yesterday someone posted they called and got June 11th. And now its almost into September.

I think those string of newspaper articles has created a 2nd rush of people asking for appointments.
