did all the paper work some time ago , got turned down for lack of "cause "
do I have to pay the fee's all over again to reapply ? is there a time limit on reapplying after being turned down , last time all I got from Sheriff Moore was a hand shake and the Sheriff's challenge coin...and the "letter" denying me a CCW well over the 90 days.

After you turn in the application, what are the requirements, as far as time training, or three letters from people you know, thanks, its all a little...confusing.

In regards to the Livescan fee, Melanie told me that I would need to pay it again since it has been over a year since I had applied with the SJCSD and been denied. This is in direct conflict with what the PC says:

          PC 26185 states:
          (a) (1) The fingerprints of each applicant shall be taken
and two copies on forms prescribed by the Department of Justice shall
          be forwarded to the department.
          (2) Upon receipt of the fingerprints and the fee as prescribed in
Section 26190, the department shall promptly furnish the forwarding
licensing authority a report of all data and information pertaining
to any applicant of which there is a record in its office, including
information as to whether the person is prohibited by state or
federal law from possessing, receiving, owning, or purchasing a
          firearm.
          (3) No license shall be issued by any licensing authority until

My guess is they'll tell you your old application is dead. You did not appeal it, so its denial is final. This is a new application, and thus new BG ck, new fees, etc.

I second that. It is probably worth a shot and certainly a fair thing to bring up in a professional manner; but pick your battles and bring your check book. If you lose that; yes, its a $100 down the pit. The "battle" is not at the front counter with a clerk.

Good cause: approved by stanislaus county sheriff

I request to be issued a concealed carry permit for the protection of myself and that of my immediate family and not for protection of property alone.

I like that he is saying he is going to follow the ruling. If his numbers are not correct there is a candidate who should be on that.

Now Id like to hear of a self defense permit actually issued in san joa

From what I understand, Moore did issue quite a few CCW's, but they had so many restrictions that they were useless.

That would be lame. Hopefully someone actually gets one soon; one who is willing to share some details.
