I'm scheduled to pick up my renewal next week. Anyone know if they've switched to the credit card sized licenses yet or are they still doing laminated cards?

Just got my fingerprints done on Friday just curious how long it took for you to get a background investigation going and interview and got approved.

Turned my application in Dec 11. Still waiting for approval.

For my "interview" they went over my application to make sure everything was correct. And then the investigator continued to constantly ask me if there was anything I wanted to add or tell them about. My initial interview was in person but that was a couple years before Kung Flu existed. The last 2 was on the phone.

I applied for my CCW and have an appointment in June. What's the appointment like? What kind of questions do they ask? Is it in person or on the phone?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I uploaded the files, but didn't hit the attach button. All good now.

Funny thing is, when I received my approval call/email; I was told to just bring in the hard copy. They didn't really care about it being uploaded.

I didn't upload or do my class until I received approval. So I'm assuming that one can wait unless something has changed again? Does it say it is required to continue processing? Or just that it is needed on your file?

After I initial it and e-sign it, I press the proceed to next step button and it says I can't proceed until I upload all of the required forms. I uploaded the CDL and two separate proof of residencies, but no class cert.

Just saw this in the FAQ
If RENEWAL applicant, you will be contacted by a Sheriff’s Background
Investigator and advised to take your renewal course. Once you take your
training, then upload the Training Certificate into the Permitium program
using the Order Tracker # you received during the application process.

Need help with the on-line renewal process. Last time I renewed using the old manual process, they told me to wait until after my interview to take the 4-hour class. Now I've uploaded my CDL and 2 forms of residency, but it's saying I need to upload my proof of a class. Well, I haven't taken it yet. What did you all do?

Class only I believe, I do not recall seeing an exemption for anyone.
I prefer to take the class prior (if you know you are squeaky clean).
They want it within 90 days if I remember correctly.
Good luck with finding a cheap class less than the ccw.

^ thanks .... now to find a CCW class that don't cost as much as the license does....lol
do they consider a Vet. trained...or is a class the only way to go.... AZ took my DD214 and a statement , no class needed , I'm sure Ca. is different... yes (?)

where is a good class in the stockton galt lodi area , and what does a 16hr class cost now-a-days ?

is it best to do a class before or wait till approved ?

I would wait till you get the call/e-mail to take the class.
