    Thanks, nice.

Initially I had an appointment for Aug 10th. As one user suggested, I checked permitium daily for earlier openings. I was able to get one for Aug 3rd. Then a few days later I caught one for 7/27 so I took it. 👍🏻

I know that. I've been through several renewals. I was just saying I wish they allowed you to put more than three on the permit. And was wondering if anyone had ever really talked to the sheriff about it? I have asked the guy at the desk a couple times and each time been told 3:00 and just taking it at face value. I have never pushed the issue

Has anyone talked to Withrow and asked if he would consider changing the policy from three to larger number of firearms on the permit? Another firefighter on one of my departments lives in Stanislaus county and he is allowed five weapons on his permit. He also was able to get his initial permit in less than a month and his modification in a couple days.

My permit was just issued 01/2023 Im going back to my initial trainer (Rosengarten Firearm Training in Ripon) just in case any are familiar with him and have done a modification with his certificate.

Im guessing I go train first get the cert and upload with online application, sorry if this seems redundant but I don't wanna mess things up or be the fault for any hiccups I don't want round 2 of the craziness that I experienced during the initial process (I was mistaken for someone who is "Prohibited") but it all got ironed out within a little over a week.
I have been thinking about a permit modification as well. I have used the same instructor in the past. After you do it, can you post how the modification process went with SO and either post on here or send me a PM telling me how much he charged for the recert?

Anybody got a picture of these new hard plastic permits?... And of course, block out a any personal info. We don't want info floating around like how CA DOJ oof'd a while back.

Based on several points in this article, I am so glad to have taken my CCW Training with Robin.

Thanks for the positive review KenP, although I'm a little embarrassed by your opinion of my shooting ability. Miculek, Leatham, Stoeger--those guys are worth watching shoot. Not me.

My renewal was also approved within a day. Times are a changing.

Wanted to give a review for Gun Kraft for their CCW renewal class (HIGHLY recommend):

This is my second time taking the CCW renewal course with Robin and both experiences have been great. He changes the content every two years so you are always learning something new, both in informational content and range drills. He is respectful, very knowledgeable on all topics discussed, and I was also lucky enough to see his firearm skills on display on the range. You more than get your money's worth by taking his course and I highly recommend it.

    Will do! Good to know.
