    Based on those dates I should be getting a call soon. New application also...
    applied - 2/2/20
    fingerprints - 3/9/20

    And I see order status changed from "assigning to processor shortly", to "Assigned to Processor / Processing Order"

    I just got a call from the sheriff's office about my ccw. The investigator told me he was going to send off my packet to Sheriff Withrow and it could take 4-6 weeks. This is for a new application.
    Applied 2/24/20
    fingerprints=3/6/20
    interview=5/27/20

    You call and make an appointment, take your cert in and you will get your permit at that time.

    My fault. I completely misunderstood how the fee chart was broken down. That sounds more in line to what I paid, maybe just a little bit more then my initial.

    It's NOT $366... The following does not include credit card fees/taxes-

    Old fee breakdown: $153 ($133 livescan & $20 filing) + $80 (issuance fee) = $233

    Something that wasn't there when I did my application a few months ago.. I guess they are just combining the filing fee and issuance fee into "sheriff's fee" ?

    New fee breakdown: $133 (livescan) + $100 (sheriff's fee) = $233

    How I see it on the Permitium site:
    Standard 2 year:
    Initial fee: $153
    Live Scan: $133
    Upon Approval/Pickup: $80

    For a grand total of $366, which isnt including your training fee, which I think most start around $200+.

    Plus if you only have 1 gun that you can ccw, then you will want to buy at least 2 more right??

    Edit: forgot to add the site charges a fee for using a debit/credit card as well.

    161.85 don't know how much the live scan is but hopefully not much because it already costed so much initially. Wish it was like Sac so if we do get denied I'm not out 160 dollars. Theirs is like 20 dollars initially.

    I never understood why people thought online applications were going to make the process faster.
    It makes our life easier by not having to hand deliver paperwork.
    But a human being still has to do all the investigating.

    They have no reason to speed up the process. It is of no benefit to them.
    Unless they end up in a lawsuit because they did not get a renewal done in a timely manner.

    Maybe next week will be the one.

    Just to recap, 2018 renewal with Sheriff Moore took 10 days from submittal to pick-up.

    2020 renewal with the new sheriff, 115 days and counting. And this trend dates back to before the virus outbreak.
    I definitely would give them a call considering your application was in Jan and I think a member mentioned they were processing Feb apps.

    Edit: for some reason I get the feeling that processing times are turning into the long delays that we had when sheriff Moore was doing them. Took 1 year for my initial license to be approved. But I ran into the same issue when renewing.

    Sheriff Moore took less than 2 weeks, Sheriff Withrow took over 3 months. I thought Permitium was suppose to streamline everything?

    Just let them know but they will print your license based on your qualification cert you get from the instructor. If it is different than the application they will do a background check to make sure the gun belongs to you and then you should be good to go.
