Just got an updated Live scan appointment. Do they email you the address/place for the live scan or do I need to be a detective to figure it out? Maybe I missed it LOL

EDIT: I'm an idiot, it was in my email.

Are people still only putting "Personal protection" for their good cause? I didn't enter any explanation except that.

    CCW Modification

Hey folks - I haven't seen many posts referencing a modification for an existing permit so here's how my timeline went.

    Range Qualification: 03/24/22
    Modification App Submission: 03/24/22
    Approval Call/Text Message/Email: 03/31/22
Scheduled pickup: 04/28/22 (will try to get this pushed up by rescheduling)

I'm quite impressed with timeliness of the S.O. with getting this done in one weeks time. This was also for a weapon list update to the permit (replacing 2 of the 3 on the current permit).

I went with Duncan at First Response Training and had a great experience. I know others on here have used him as well.

The probability is highly dependent on you and your background.

I personally haven't had an issue getting my permit but this is a great tip for those who have. For some reason I have always called the office and the receptionist(?) has always accommodated me; sometimes even allowing me to pick up on a Friday or Wednesday.

I wasn't prepared to be approved so quickly that I haven't even thought about looking for a trainer but I have another 2 months to figure it out since my license expires in April.

    Timeline:

Renewal applied on Feb 25, 2022
    Approved today, March 01, 2022

Now I have to find a class and will probably go with the guy I usually do my renewals with (this is my 3rd renewal). The first and second times I did my renewal it took almost all of the 90 days. The last time actually went over my expiration date and I was without for a couple of weeks.
