Look at the good side of things until you are forced otherwise. .. just my 2 cents on this
You have a right to your opinion since we live in a free country. Freedom in this country was dearly bought, and that freedom comes with risk. I am willing to live in this free country and put up with the slight risks involved. But I am not willing to live without that freedom.

Really. One of the stupidest things you've EVER heard. Wow. You must not have experienced very much in life. You must be 21 years old.

do not compare defending this country or a soldier job to the innocent
bystander walking to the neighborhood store to get milk for the kids. soldier shoots in the direction of the enemy.

Too much drama here lately. A CCW is an extra ordinary thing. I mistake by a CCW holder can be serous and as such, its ok with me if the SO reviews a persons capabilities and history. Should you be entitled to a CCW just because you turned 21? No. Should you be precluded just because your 21? No.

Saw this article about ccw permits today. The interesting part is I believe I remember seeing San Joaquin county have about 300-350 ccw permits as of 2013 according to this it jumped 500 by the end of 2014, also it states how many pending permits there are 1144 as of Dec 31st 2014, big number but not as much as I expected.

Sorry I forgot to post the link

A catch in state law gives local law enforcement officials complete discretion to interpret California’s primary requirements for anyone wanting to carry a concealed gun. Some counties grant permits to anyone who’s eligible, while others maintain a strict standard.

Peruta case up before 9th circuit (en banc) right now. None of this may matter soon.

In our wildest dream, would Moore continue to issue if Peruta decision is reversed by 9th circuit?

It would be career suicide if he changed his mind, he is not bound by law for his opinion at this point, so a law saying he can still use his opinion shouldn't change that

I got approved end of January it will happen. They are slow, I can see if they reverse the decision it staying slow, if the decision is upheld I see a lawsuit to make them speed up

Folks, instead of cursing the darkness, why don't you try lighting a candle?

Instead of complaining how long it takes the sheriff to review apps and issue CCWs, why don't you get in touch w/the County Supervisor for your district and tell them you want them to give the sheriff additional funding/manpower/whatever so that he can get through the backlog of apps faster? Organize San Joaquin CGNers so that ALL county sups are hit w/load of calls, emails, faxes, letters.

After all, waiting 1 year to get a 2 year permit is just DUMB!!!

Probably best to first contact H. Paul Payne of the NRA to see if he can help or give advice:

OK so my wife's cousin applied first week of July, received a call last week that she was approved and her permit was just waiting on Moore's signature and was the fourth one in the stack and to go take her class
