Hi guys maybe someone here can help my so this is the 2nd time I’ve applied for my ccw first time I applied was in 2020 I put for my reasoning to protect myself and my family and was denied to to insufficient reasoning I then re applied and today I was once again denied this time for good moral character I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong I’m a armed guard at a nuclear power plant here in Sacramento I have no convicts never been in trouble the only time was when I was a minor and that was 8 years agai never got convicted beat all charges I’m trying to appeal but don’t really know how to go about it the right way

Not many people know this but File for Factual Innocence after winning in California.

All records will be destroyed FBI and DOJ if granted by the judge and you follow the directions. IT is better than Expungement the form is below.

Phone Interview: Waiting
Firearms Training: TBC After Approval

Now, waiting for my Phone Interview. What would be the standard waiting time for this?

Submitted my Permitium application and required documentation for my 6th CCW renewal on June 3. Received my renewal approval via email and phone message on June 22. Have my 4-hour training/recert slated for June 28 at Silvercreek in Tracy. Am scheduled to pickup new license on July 12. FYI, I was not contacted for an interview by the SJCSO. My record is spotless. I also thought that there may be an issue because of my age (75). However, there was no issue. Everything went very quick and easy.

I was upfront about everything in both the application and the phone interview.

I would ask them for more details. Could it be something you said during the interview? Could someone you put as a reference have said something? I know someone on here that was torpedoed by a former employer who had a grudge.

Doing my first renewal... Is there no live scan for renewal? How about phone interview for renewal?

No live scan for renewals. There use to be a phone interview but I recently renewed and they made no contact with me. Although, I'm sure they would call if they had something to discuss.

I submitted all the requested info and docs online and within 3 weeks I received an automated message stating my renewal was approved and to take the 4 hour renewal class if not already completed.

My livescan was Feb 18, got the call Apr 27, permit issued 5/2, did training this week, but first available pickup appointment is 5/31. I am checking back regularly to try to move pickup to an earlier appointment if a slot opens up!

Part of "good moral character" is being completely honest on the application. If you left out

and they saw it in your background check..... they determined that you don't have "good moral character"

Had my livescan done on 2/23/2022, and still awaiting interview, initial application was entered on the 1st of august. The wait has been killing me, hopefully any day now for the interview.
